How Does Your Tea Garden Grow?

Hi Dreamers,
Isn't it a lovely day??!!  I think it is a tea and flower kind of day.  Or, coffee, if you prefer.  Today  I have a fun card to share with you.  I created a "Tea Garden" scene with stamps from Catherine Moore's whimsical  designs: Character Construction.  The stamps are from the set called Mad Tea Party -Set #7.

The images are stamped with Stazon  on watercolor paper.  I stamped on the smooth side of the watercolor paper.  The coloring is done with Distress Markers (Ranger).   The background was made by putting ink from the marker on an acrylic block and picking up with an Aqua painter.  I really like the results of this color wash look of the background.  The CS is pink, black, and green.

I used a corner from a vintage hanky (the lace) and a small scrap of the hanky (from my vintage hanky stash) to tie around a strip of pale green tulle.  A pearl (Jolee's)  was added to the knot, the flowers, and the upper corner.

Here is a peek at the inside.  I stamped the Tea Cup Lady once with black ink and added a little color with the Distress Markers.  I left plenty of room for a stamped sentiment or a handwritten note.

The Inside

Challenges for my Tea Garden:
Charisma Cardz: pink with one color
Divas By Design: flowers
Crafts and Me Challenge: Green
MY Mum's craft shop: ice cream colors--Pistachio and peach whip

Well, I guess that's it for me today.  Hope your day is lovely too.  Love ya.
Karen
