Hello Dreamers,

Materials List:
Stamps: Measure Herself and Falling Flowers both from Technique Junkies
Ink: Regal Rose (Stampin' Up)  and Jet Black Archival
Markers - Memento
CS: pale green
Decorative paper
Corner and Edge Punch

Make It:

  • Cut tags from the pale green CS
  • Stamp the Falling Flowers stamp with rose ink on DP
  • Cut the DP to fit onto the tags
  • Stamp Measure Herself image onto DP
  • Color the dress with markers

  • Punch the corners and edges of the DP and add to the tags
  • Punch holes in the tops of the tags and add the ribbons
  • Glue a piece of lace to the side edge of one of the tags

Aren't these fun!!  Love the falling flowers in the background too.  The tags would be cute on a gift bag or tucked inside an envelope with a little note on the back.  Would be a cute bookmark too.  Okay, see again soon.  Have a great day!

Cheerful Birthday with Technique Junkies

Hello Everyone,
Hope your weekend is going well.  Having very nice weather here.  Still waiting on the cement crew to pour the patio.  And, cable company to bury the cable (long story), and the landscaping crew to clear out beds and put down new sod.  I am impatiently  waiting!!!  I want to start planting!!  Well, anyway, I have a fun and cheerful Birthday card to share today.  I used one of the May New Releases from Technique Junkies.

Materials List:
Ink: Rhubarb Stalk Memento
CS: cream and two shades of rust
DP: Webster's Pages
Ribbons

I thought this cute stamp with the sentiment attached was great for any type of card, but I really thought is would make a cute birthday card too.   The image was stamped on cream CS and layered onto the rust CS and DP

I added a birthday sentiment to the front and two pretty ribbons.  So, just a fun little cheerful card to send to someone special on their special day.  Hope you enjoyed....  See you later in the week for a set of tags with an inspirational sentiment also from Technique Junkies.  Have a super day.

Fun Elephant Occasion Card with Technique Junkies

Hello Dreamers,
Here today with a fun occasion card made with Technique Junkies May New Release stamps!   Look out!  Here come the elephants!  Check out this fun new stamp from TJ!  I thought this new sentiments really worked well with the elephants!  LOL.  Very fun!

Materials List:
Stamps: Mama and Baby and Behave Yourself (sentiment) both from Techniques Junkies
Technique Junkies Technique CD--Fancy Folds and Motion --- Circle Tab Card Technique
Ink: Onyx Black Versa Fine
CS: Solar White Neenah,Tip Top Taupe ( Stampin' Up)
Circle Paper Punches
Animal Print Ribbon
Pearls

Make It:

  • Make the card base from Tip Top Taupe CS
  • Follow the "Circle Tab Card" instructions to make the rest of the card.
Note: My punches had a hard time going through two layers of CS.  You may want to punch the two layers separately making sure they line up.  Or, use a lighter weight paper to stamp on.
  • Stamp the Elephants on white CS with Versa Mark.  This is a very detailed stamp and after experimenting, I found the Versa Mark worked the best.  I also used the Neenah CS because the smooth surface worked great with this stamp.

  • Stamp the sentiment on white CS and punch out
  • Add to a larger punched circle
  • Add pearls and Animal Print ribbon
  • On the inside, add an interesting coordinating Decorative Paper

Quite a fun combo of stamps, I think.  Would be cute for teenagers.....

Later in the month I will share more of the Technique Junkies projects and some more birthday cards.  Thanks for stopping by today.  See you soon.  Love ya

Pretty Gift Bag with Dogwood Blossoms - Technique Junkies

Make it:

  • Spray the bag, twill tape, and lace with spray ink; let dry
Tip: Spray the items on a large sheet of packing paper- white or kraft.  The over spray will make a nice pattern on the paper.  The paper can be used for backgrounds in other projects when cut to size.  I always do this and am so surprised how good the paper looks.
  • Glue the paper doily to the bag
  • Cut a tag from pale green CS; punch hole in end
  • Glue a piece of the lace to the long edge of the tag

  • Ink the Dogwood Branch with Regal Rose and dot red ink on the centers of each blossom; stamp on White CS.  Stamp another image for layering
  • Cut apart the blossoms
  • Add to the green tag and add a second layer to two of the blossoms
  • Tie twill tape and tulle through hole on tag
  • Add tag to bag

  • Place a few drops of glitter glue on finger and rub onto the tag- wash hands- LOL
  • Put glitter glue in the centers of each blossom

  • Glue a piece of the lace to the upper right corner of bag
  • Tie tulle and twill tape in bow and glue over the lace
The dogwood blossoms add such a pretty touch to this little gift bag.  I can fill this little bag with goodies and give to someone special for a birthday, graduation, or bridal shower.  And, the bag could also be used to hold cards or supplies.
Thanks for stopping by today.  You can check out all the Technique Junkies stamps here.  Coming up in Dreamland this month: birthday cards, inspirational sentiment tag set, elephant occasion card, and who knows what else!!  See you next time.  Love ya

Masculine Birthday Card Ideas

Hello and Happy Wednesday.
Hope you are enjoying your day.  I have been working out in the yard a bit this week.  We are having new sod put in next week and having several beds cleaned out.  When that is done, I can get to planting my new beds.  I have my plans all sketched out with plant choices.  I can't wait to get planting!  Of course, the weather has to cooperate.  We are still getting some cold nights.  Okay, enough chit chat--on to some cards.
I have a few masculine birthday cards to share today.  I made the cards for an order.  I quite enjoyed coming up with all the guy cards!

The first card really showcases a piece of DP.  The sentiment is the only stamping on this card.  I added a trim the I thought looked like waves.

The next two cards were made by stamping a car or truck and adding some darker papers. The car on the first card is from Flonz Craft.  The DP is from K & Company.

The truck on the is card is from Sweet N Sassy stamps.

Okay, I had better get going.  Coming up later this week is the Lost Coast Designs Women Rule the World Event.  I have some pretty cards to share for that. So, check back for that.  See you then.  Love ya
Karen

May New Release Blog Hop with Technique Junkies

Hello Everyone!
Welcome to the Technique Junkies May New Release Blog Hop.  If you are just popping in here, you may wish to go to Design Junkies blog for the beginning of the hop here.  Or you may be arriving from the Design Junkies' blog.

So happy to have you here in Dreamland today where I am showcasing one of the New stamps-- its a beauty!!   Well, they all are really and I am just loving each and everyone!  See them all here.

Note:  The new releases will be on sale until May 8. So pick up your favorites.  I think this stamp will be one of your favorites.  It has such a pretty sentiment on it and a ballerina.  Verrry cool!

I used a fun fold layout and a monochromatic color scheme for my project.

Materials List:
Stamp: How Far You've Come from Technique Junkies
Ink: Jet Black Archival
CS: white, cream, black
DP: Serenade pack from Basic Grey
Technique CD: Fancy Folds and Motion
White ribbon
Pearls

Make It:

  • Following the "Hip to be Square" tutorial, make the fun fold card base.  This is a 6" square card when all folded together
  • Add the DP and a layer of cream CS to each flap
**Tip for making the flap pieces: I used a rotary cutter and ruler to make easy diagonal cuts for the flap triangle pieces.  (Also used my cutting mat)
  • Stamp "How Far You've Come" with Jet Black ink on white CS
  • Layer with black, white, and cream
  • Add the stamped piece with dimensional adhesive to the left flap
  • Glue a bow to the right flap

This how the card looks partially open.  The card can be completely opened (6" x 18") too if you really wanted to write a long letter inside.  Or you could just write a short note on the center 6" section.  This looks so elegant when all folded up.  Really makes a statement for a special card.

Now, head off to check out Kathy's project here!!   She has some fabulous projects to inspire you!!  And have fun on the rest of the hop.  Don't forget to check out all the New stamps!!  See  you next time!!
Happy Hopping!!!
