Thinking of You

Hello Everyone,
Hope you are well and staying safe.  We are doing well.  Finding plenty of time to make cards.  Perhaps there  always is a silver lining.  We have had two plumbing issues though.  We were able to fix them without calling plumber. Well, onto another card!

This is an older image that stamped  a while ago.  I thought the face seemed pensive and thoughtful and would be great for a Thinking of you card.  I used metallic papers for the background.  Which I thought make a great contrast to the stamping.

Here is a second version in another color way but using the same metallic paper.

So glad you stopped by.  See you next time!!

Die Cut Backgrounds

Hello Everyone,
Sizzix dies were used to create the backgrounds for today's three cards.

I also die cut a frame for the first card and added some pretty trim.

On the second card, chalk board black CS was used for the die cutting.  I really like the effect of the black on top of the lighter pastel colors.

The third card is more tonal.  I used shades of peach paper and card stock. I added a soft green ribbon.

I already sent two of the cards along with a big box full to my friend.  She loves to  send out my cards to her friends and family.  I keep her stocked up with cards.  Just adds to the fun of card making.

I hope your day is going well.  I have been making cards to keep happy.  I am always happy while making cards.  And then sharing them with others on my blog also adds to the fun.  So, thank you for stopping by today.

Get Well Card for the What We Do Best event

Hello Everyone,
Hope you are doing well.  Doing good here. Still under stay at home order here in Michigan.  My husband is able to work at home.  And, I have plenty of time to make cards.  I decided to participate in the Event going on over on the  Technique Junkies Blog ( see all the details on the blog).  They are hosting a What We Do Best (WWDB) event on their blog and on Facebook.

Week two is to make a Get Well card and envelope.  The idea is to send out cards now to show people we care.  Technique Junkie Stamps must be used.

Here is my project.  A cute little kitten hanging in there!

Stamps Used from Technique Junkies:
Hang in There Cat
Hang in There Sentiment
Houndstooth Check

The Houndstooth Check stamp was stamped with Rhubarb stalk Memento ink onto kraft CS for a snazzy background.  The Kitty was stamped in black ink on white cs and layered with black, Cherry Cobbler (SU), and kraft cs.  I added the Sentiment also stamped in Rhubarb Stalk ink.

This card is also posted on the Technique Junkies' Facebook page.  You can stop over there and check out all the great cards!!  So happy you stopped by today.  I have two more cards to post for the WWDB event over the next several weeks.  A thinking of you and a encouragement card.  See you again soon.

Tea Pot with Die Cut Background

Hello Everyone,
Today's cards use a stamp and die cut tea pot set (Stampin' Up) and a die cut background (Tim Holtz Sizzix die).

I stamped flowers on the tea pot and colored with copic markers.

Inside: Stamps from Sweet N Sassy Stamps.

This is the same design but done in different colors.

Makes a very cheerful card for all those tea lovers on my mailing list.

Hope you are well and see you next time.

Washi Tape Birthday Candles

Hello Everyone,

Today's card uses washi tape.  I tore the tape to make the candles and the flames.

I used super bright colors and prints on the decorative papers for the background.

I like how this turned out.  I will probably make a few more of this design.

See you next time!!

Hope you are well.

Get Well Cheer

 Hello Everyone,
Today, I have a bright sun shinny get well card.  I used a digi image that was colored with copics.  I added an embossed background and doily.

Since I have been staying home every day,  I have had lots of time to make cards.  I always say that making cards is my therapy.  And, I so enjoy the creative process.  Saying that, I have lots of  cards to share with you.  Stay tuned for plenty of cards this month.  Hope you are all well.
