Ghostly Halloween Party Invitation with Technique Junkies

Hello Everyone!
Another rainy day here in Michigan, USA.  Great excuse to hang out, make a few cards, and do a bit of blogging.  I would like to share with you Halloween themed party invitations in two colors.  I stamped a spooky ghost on chalk board paper with chalk inks.  I used two of the new release September collection from Technique Junkies.  Take a look.

Materials List:
Stamps: Ghost and Be Scary (Sentiment) both from Technique Junkies
Ink: Cloud White and Persimmon Versa Magic Chalk ink; black dye
CS: black chalk board, gray, orange
DP: Halloween prints
Gray Mesh trim
Tissue Paper
black ribbon
Label Punch

Make both:

  • Make card bases from gray and orange CS
  • Add a layer of DP to each card
  • Glue the mesh on the gray card, the tissue and black ribbon (with a knot in one end) to the orange card

  • Stamp the Ghost on the chalk board CS with chalk ink and add to each card
  • Stamp the sentiment with black dye ink and punch out label shape
  • Add label to card
  • Tie a bow in black ribbon and to gray card

Super fun scary invitation.  This card would work equally well as a Halloween card.  Check out all the New Releases.  Also, the October new Releases are up on the site a bit early!  Lots going on in Dreamland next!  Stay tuned for all the fun!!

All Occasion cards made with Decorative Paper

Hello Dreamers!
I wanted to share a group of cards I made using all those beautiful decorative papers in my stash.  The cards were really fun to make and quite quick.  I added ribbons and a sentiment to finish each card.  The majority of the papers are from K & Company.

Basically, all you do is cut rectangles.  Just keep the bottom rectangle larger by a third than the top rectangle.  Works for most sized cards.   They go together in a snap.
Hope you have enjoyed!  We are having a nice rainy day today.  So, just a perfect day to do a little blogging.
Coming up in Dreamland next month:
1 blog Hop with Christmas
1 Special event with Halloween projects
Lots of scary Halloween projects
Lots of Christmas projects
And, anything else I can think of to post--maybe a few birthdays.
Have a great day!

Haunted Mansion with Technique Junkies

Hello Everyone!
Back today with a scary Halloween treat! This project was made with stamps from the September new Release stamp from Technique Junkies.  I made two versions of my card. One is colored with Copics and the other is colored with Distress Inks. The first photo is the Copic version.

Materials List:
Ink: Black die
CS: white and black
Copic Markers or Distress Inks for coloring

 Make It:

  • Make a card from black CS
  • On white CS, stamp the Halloween House with black ink
  • Color the image with Copic Markers and add to the card base

  • Stamp Trick or Treat Banner on white CS
  • Color with blue Copics and cut out
  • Add to card with dimensional adhesive

This is the second version that is colored with Distress inks.  I used the Ranger blending tool to add the ink.  The coloring is just a bit subtler.  But, still very effective.

Great Halloween card!  I would also use this for an invitation. Another great collection of New Stamps from Technique Junkies!!  Thanks for stopping by.  There will be lots of Halloween and scary projects coming up.  Hope you are having a great day.

  • Make a card from purple CS and add a layer of lavender CS
  • On white CS, stamp Feather Diva with Pale Lilac ink
  • Trace over the line in the center or each feather with the maker
  • Stamp the Geometric Border with red ink
  • Add a strip of red CS to the edge of the Diva

  • Cut a slit through the card front at the top and bottom edge of the stamped piece
