Spooky Halloween Cars

 Hello everyone!

Time for Halloween!!  I used this die cut to make my Halloween cards this year.  The dies are from the Sunday Drive series from Spellbinders. This die has lots of pieces and I used a glue bottle with a very narrow cap called Beary Arts Precision Craft Glue. Putting the pieces together without this glue would have been quite difficult and messy.  Just takes a little patience and time.

The cards have a decorative paper background.  I added some trees made with a Stampin' Up die cut.

The moon is a punched circle distressed with distress ink. I used a foil paper with an adhesive backing to cut some of the bumpers.  Not sure where I got the foil paper.

The insides all look like this:

Here are the other versions I made:
I made the card bases and the cars in different colors.

So, as the card says, Be Spooky!!  Hope you Have a Happy Halloween!!

See you next time.

Halloween Brew

 Hello Everyone!

Time for a cup of witch's brew!  The cards were made to send out to friends and family.  I used a few different stamps and dies to complete the cards.

Sentiment: Eat, Drink, and Be Scary - Technique Junkies

Spider, Witch stamps - Frightfully Cute Stampin' Up

Spider web, Hat, Owl dies -Frightful Tags Dies Stampin' Up

Coffee cup die -Stampin Up (retired)

Added lots of glitter glue to brighten up the color scheme.  Also got out the distress inks to darken some of the die cuts.

Added lots of fibers just for fun.

Hope you have a Happy Halloween!!  See you again soon!

Halloween Cards Part Two

Hello Everyone,
Popping in to post a few more of my Halloween cards.  I used the same design for all the cards, but varied the colors and papers.

See Part one here.

Here are a few more examples:

Stamps are from a Stampin Up set I bought last year.  The front of the card has a smaller card attached with a scary little surprise inside!

Lift the flap on the small card and see the surprise inside!  Cute little mummy.

Inside is the same for each card except for the different papers.

Fun cards!  Happy Halloween!

Halloween Cards

 Hello Everyone,
Well, I thought I better get busy posting my Halloween cards...before it is no longer Halloween. LOL

Stamps are from a Stampin Up set I bought last year.  The front of the card has a smaller card attached with a scary little surprise inside!

This is the shocking, scary guy inside the small card.  Well, not too scary really.  He was colored with Copic markers and die cut.

Inside of card: Some stamps from my stash.  Happy Halloween from Technique Junkies.  Don't worry from Victorine Originals.

Entering this card in a new year round Halloween challenge blog called

Two Old Bats  Halloween Challenge: anything Halloween

Made about 10 of the cards.  All are a little different. I will have more of the cards next week.  See you then!

Ghostly Halloween Party Invitation with Technique Junkies

Hello Everyone!
Another rainy day here in Michigan, USA.  Great excuse to hang out, make a few cards, and do a bit of blogging.  I would like to share with you Halloween themed party invitations in two colors.  I stamped a spooky ghost on chalk board paper with chalk inks.  I used two of the new release September collection from Technique Junkies.  Take a look.

Materials List:
Stamps: Ghost and Be Scary (Sentiment) both from Technique Junkies
Ink: Cloud White and Persimmon Versa Magic Chalk ink; black dye
CS: black chalk board, gray, orange
DP: Halloween prints
Gray Mesh trim
Tissue Paper
black ribbon
Label Punch

Make both:

  • Make card bases from gray and orange CS
  • Add a layer of DP to each card
  • Glue the mesh on the gray card, the tissue and black ribbon (with a knot in one end) to the orange card

  • Stamp the Ghost on the chalk board CS with chalk ink and add to each card
  • Stamp the sentiment with black dye ink and punch out label shape
  • Add label to card
  • Tie a bow in black ribbon and to gray card

Super fun scary invitation.  This card would work equally well as a Halloween card.  Check out all the New Releases.  Also, the October new Releases are up on the site a bit early!  Lots going on in Dreamland next!  Stay tuned for all the fun!!

Haunted Mansion with Technique Junkies

Hello Everyone!
Back today with a scary Halloween treat! This project was made with stamps from the September new Release stamp from Technique Junkies.  I made two versions of my card. One is colored with Copics and the other is colored with Distress Inks. The first photo is the Copic version.

Materials List:
Ink: Black die
CS: white and black
Copic Markers or Distress Inks for coloring

 Make It:

  • Make a card from black CS
  • On white CS, stamp the Halloween House with black ink
  • Color the image with Copic Markers and add to the card base

  • Stamp Trick or Treat Banner on white CS
  • Color with blue Copics and cut out
  • Add to card with dimensional adhesive

This is the second version that is colored with Distress inks.  I used the Ranger blending tool to add the ink.  The coloring is just a bit subtler.  But, still very effective.

Great Halloween card!  I would also use this for an invitation. Another great collection of New Stamps from Technique Junkies!!  Thanks for stopping by.  There will be lots of Halloween and scary projects coming up.  Hope you are having a great day.
