Floral Die Cut Background Birthday Cards

Hello Everyone,
Today's cards feature a die cut background.  I used chalk board black cardstock for the dies.  I stamped the sentiments with Versa Magic chalk ink.

A ribbon was added to both cards. To embellish, I created "pearls" with Nuvo crystal drops and Liquid pearls.

Butterfly on Square Card with Five Layers

Hello Everyone,
Hope you are keeping well.  And, that you are finding time to be crafty.  Today, I have two colorful cards.  The first has five layers!  I used a purchased butterfly and flower on the card.

The second card used up all the left over bits.  The paper flower was added to this card as well.  Sentiment was die cut.

Two bright cards that are sure to bring a smile to a special someone.

See you again soon!

Bird with Die Cuts

Hello Everyone,
Hope your summer is going well.  We are doing good here.  Pretty busy with garden projects.  We put in 12 arbor vitae bushes last week.  I have lots of trimming and deadheading to keep up with too.  But, always enjoy working outside and love all the flowers and veggies.

Still making cards too.  Today, I have two square cards that feature a little bird die cut and layers of decorative papers.  I used the same double sided paper for both cards.  I challenged myself to use the same paper and see how different the cards would be.

I added a die cut Happy and then stamped birthday.  A striped ribbon was added to complete the card.

The inside has another bird and a cute sentiment.

This is the second version using the same double sided decorative paper.  Totally different color scheme was achieved even though I used the same paper.

Both are very cheerful and will go to someone special for their birthday.
So glad you stopped by and will see you next time with a butterfly card.

Robots on the Loose!

 Hello Everyone,

Robots are on the loose!  On my cards anyways.  LOL  Here are some fun cards for kids I made with a package of 3-D stickers (from the dollar store).  The colors were so bright and cheerful that I could not resist them.

I used a multi-paper layout for the background.

On the card below, I typed out the sentiment and printed on white cardstock.  Just cut it by hand.

Again, this sentiment was typed up on the computer.

So, just a great bunch of cards for kids to receive on their birthday.  And a nice way to use those 3-D stickers I know you have in your stash.  Smile   I have gifted some of these to friends who have lots of nieces and nephews.  And,  I kept a few for myself.

So happy you stopped by today.  See you again soon.

Having a little trouble with the new blogger formatting.  It keeps double spacing and I can't center the photos.  Never had this problem with the "old" blogger.

Stained Glass Like Butterfly

Hello Everyone!

Back today with a pretty butterfly card.  I used the piecing method that I used on the Large flower and vase card.  This time I used peach papers on a green card base.

This butterfly was kind of a process. First, I  stamped the butterfly Stampin Up) with a rust colored ink.  I did not like the way that looked.  So, I stamped over that with black ink.  That looked so-so.  Then I colored the butterfly with markers. Hmmmm.. Still not quite what I wanted.  Then I went over the butterfly with Glossy Accents (by Ranger).  And I said, "Hey, that looks like stained glass".  So, that is how this card came about.
I added some ribbon, lace, and buttons for embellishments.  On the inside, I stamped a nice sentiment from Technique Junkies.  Also added some of the lace on the inside.

I am entering this card in:

So glad you stopped by.  See you next time with more froggy cards.

Lots of Decorative Paper on Flower in Vase Card

Hello Everyone!
Today's card is a bit like a quilt.  The background is pieced, but with paper instead of fabric.  Four different papers were used to create the background.

I stacked four sheets of paper - cut into 5 inch squares.  Then cut the stacks with a rotary cutter and ruler.  The flower was punched and the vase I cut by hand.

I added a little stamping on the decorative paper pieces in gray ink and a flower stamp.  I added a ribbon and a few buttons to complete the outside.

The inside is decorated as well.

I made quite a few different versions of this card.  I will share more of them through this month and next month.

So happy you stopped by today.  See you again next post!!

Vases and Flowers B-Day

Hello Everyone!
Hope you are doing fine.  We are all okay here.  Adjusting to my husband's retirement.  I am still finding time to make a few cards.  I made this fun birthday card.

An embossing folder was used to create the background.  I swiped an ink pad across the embossing to create depth.  I used a punch (Stampin Up) to make the vases and flowers.  A pretty ribbon was added to finish.  Great  card for someone special.  I put this card and some others together as a little gift for my BF.

This is the inside.

Thanks for stopping by!  See you next time with more cards!
