Spring Birds Return

 Hello Everyone!

Sharing a few more of my Spring cards today.  I can almost here the tweeting.

The stamps and dies are from The Greetery.  I just love the dimension the multiple stamps create.  Each bird looks like a painting.  Just vary the ink colors and you can make any kind of bird.

Aren't these lovely images!!  You can't stamp just one.  Once you get going and see the scope of the images, you just want to keep stamping and stamping.  LOL

Birdhouse Themed Quilt

 Hello Everyone!

Changing things up a bit today with a Spring themed quilt!   I made this quilt for one of my besties.  I gave it to her for her Birthday. 

The pattern is from an Annie's quilt book called "Quilting for the Home".  I changed the size for my project.

The pieces were hand appliqued and the quilt was hand quilted.  This is wall hanging piece and is about 18 inches x 24 inches.

I made some yo-yos from fabric to simulate flowers on the branches.

Spring is Here and So are the Birds

 Hello Everyone,

Looks like Spring is here.  Although we did get snow on April 1st.  Knocked my daffodils for a loop.  Let's celebrate Spring with a set of cards that feature lovely little birds on flowering branches.

The stamps are dies are all from The Greetery.  The stamps come with multiples layers to get the artistic coloring.  I had to practice a bit to get the birds right, but it was worth it.  The images look like they have been painted.

 

I just could not make only one card of course!!  I will share more of them through out the rest of the month.

Sewing Machine Card

 Hello Everyone,

Posting a fun sewing themed card today.  I used a digi image from some years ago.  But, it still makes a fun card!

Love this red, black, and white color combo.  I had the scissors charm in my stash and it was perfect to embellish this card.  I also used white lace, black lace, ribbon, and bakers twine.

On the inside, I stamped "Sew sweet".  Hope your day is sew sweet!!

Wedding Shower Card and Crowns

 Hello Everyone,

My nephew and his bride had their wedding shower a couple weeks ago.  They were married on Friday the 26th.  This is the card I made for the shower.

Stamps from My Favorite Things.  Die cuts from Spellbinders.  Colored with Copics.

Inside of card:

I also made crowns for the bridal couple to wear at the shower.  I found some blank crowns at Michaels. I used ink to color the white cardboard and added lots of embellishments.

Here is the Bride's Crown.

I made a tulle flower for the front and added gathered purple tulle to cover front and sides of crown. The purple tulle is also layered with two ribbons.  Paper flowers were added too. 

I used some large jewels to accent the top parts of the crown.

The Groom's Crown:

I used gold doilies to accent the groom's crown.  I added a bottle top and and a jewelry charm.  Used the purple tulle and burlap and purple ribbon.

Added the large rhinestones to the top of the groom's crown. 

And here is the lovely couple wearing the crowns.  They are so sweet.

Happy Easter Butterfly

 Hello All,

Stamps are from Gina K Designs.  Stamped with black dye ink and colored with Copics markers.  Butterflies were fussy cut.

I only used on butterfly on this version.

Easter Greetings

 Hello Everyone,

Made a few Easter cards to send to friends and family.  Wanted something a little masculine, and came up with this design.  

Stamps are from Gina K Designs. I used a blue color scheme and added bakers twine.

On the inside, I stamped more of the leafed vine and a sentiment.

For this version, I added flower blooms and used a peach and green color scheme.
