Floral All Occasion cards

 Hello Everyone

I have a set of floral cards today.  The floral images were stamped on white cardstock with light colors of ink.  I added arch and oval die cuts with pretty papers to put together the cards.

Stamped set: Inked and Tiled from Stampin' Up

Very fun to make! Great for any type of card. Could even be used for wedding or anniversary cards.

See you next time!

Fairytale Wedding Card

 Hello Everyone!

Today, I would like to share a wedding second card I made using elements from the invitations.  The cards were made for my bff, Sandie. And it was her idea to use the bits and pieces from the invitations.  See the first card here.

Take a look at the card.

The shower invite had a castle and a fairytale theme.  So, I did just happen to have a cute castle stamp and die from My Favorite Things Stamps.  The wedding invite had printed flowers on a woodgrain paper. The flowers were blue and white.  I reproduced the look with a Stampin' Up stamp and die. The bottom corner of the wedding invite had a printed doily.  To reproduce that look I added a paper doily accented with a beaded bridal trim.

I also added bridal tulle and some single pearls on left side of the card.

Inside of the card. Another group of flowers and a fairytale theme sentiment were added to the inside.

The wedding is in two weeks.  Hopefully the bride and groom will love the personalized wedding card.

See you again soon!!

The cards were made with floral die cuts and paper doilies. I added ribbons and sentiments.

This card is made with a tulip stamp from Stampin Up.

That is the last installment of the card drive cards.  So, I am not sure what I will have for the next post. I have some birthday cards needed for the end of the month.  Well, we will see.  LOL It is all fun.

This stamp looks very much like lavender flowers--which I love.

Floral Cards for Card Drive

 Hello Everyone,

Today I wanted to share a collection of cards I made for a card drive.  The card drive is sponsored by Winter on her blog Winter Wonderland .  The cards are for cancer patients, and you can read the details on her blog.

Supplies:

  1. Decorative paper with large flower motifs
  2. Dry Embossing folders
  3. Various Die cuts
  4. Hand-Penned Petals stamp and die sets from Stampin' Up
  5. Markers to color flowers

The first two cards were made by hand cutting large flower motifs from decorative papers. The flowers were layered over dry embossed backgrounds and die cuts.

The following cards were made by stamping and die cutting flowers from the Hand-Penned Petals set.

I will be back with more cards made for the card drive in the next post.  I hope that the cards brought a small amount of cheer to the recipients and that they know the cards were made with love and good thoughts.

See you soon for the next post.  Have a lovely day.

Cherry Blossom Thinking of You

 Hello Everyone,

Today I wanted to share a collection of cards I made for a card drive.  The card drive is sponsored by Winter on her blog Winter Wonderland .  The cards are for cancer patients, and you can read the details on her blog.

The group of cards were made with a cherry blossom stamp set.  I made the design in several different colors and slightly different layouts with various die cut backgrounds.

Supplies: Forever Blossom stamp and dies from Stampin' Up.

A pretty collection of cards that I hope brought a smile to the face of someone going through a very rough time.  Now that the holidays are over, I am planning to make another large batch of cards to send to Winter for the card drive.

Next post will have more of the cards I made for the card drive.  See you then.

Vases, Vases, and More Vases Part One

 Hello Crafty Friends,

This is a collection of cards I made using a Stampin' Up stamp set and punch.   There is a lot of scope with this set.  You can stamp the vase and punch out or punch the vase from decorative papers for another look.  I made lots of the cards and most of them went in three packages of cards I made for friends who needed cards to send. Most of my cards seem to end up with others LOL. I love making them and giving them.

Thanks so much for popping in today.  I will share the rest of my Vase cards in the next post.  Hope you are having a lovely day.

Large Colorful Floral Cards with Pieced Backgrounds

Hello Everyone,

Here I am back today with the final post showcasing the pieced background cards.  As you can tell by how many cards I made, I really liked this technique.  I found that I could really get creative with the focal points and embellishments.

Here is how I made the backgrounds.

The background was created by cutting strips of decorative paper and laying them down on an adhesive sheet.  The backgrounds were then cut to size.  I had fun with this background technique and made a lot of cards using them.  I was also able to use up lots of my decorative paper scraps.

Stamp: You've Got This from Stampin' Up retired

Flowers are colored with Copic markers.

Embellishments for this card: pearls, lace, die cut circles

Embellishments: Rick rack, ribbon, die cut circles

Embellishments: lace trim, pearls, die cut circles

Embellishments: pearls, rick rack, ribbon, die cut circles

I sure hope you enjoyed the journey.  I shared all of the pieced background cards with you over the past six weeks!!!  Let me know if you like this technique in the comments.  Would love to see what you make too.  Have a happy day!!

Peony Floral Cards Part Four

Hello Everyone,

Back today with part four of the peony cards!

Stamp and die set: Prized Peony from Stampin' Up.  Spellbinders dies: large velum circle, oval and scalloped circle.

Flowers stamped with black ink and colored with copic markers.

So, that is all the peony cards!  I sure had a blast making those!!  Already sent some of those out to friends and family. When I need a card to send out, I just add an appropriate sentiment.  Works great for me because I always have a big stash of cards I can use for any occasion.
