Desert Fox Masculine Card

 Hello Everyone,

Wanted to share the card I made for my nephew's birthday.  I used a stamp set from Stampin' Up (Nature's Beauty).  I got out my Distress inks (for a change) and used them to create the desert like background.  I added some stars with Glitter glue.

I punched a large circle and used that as a mask to spotlight the fox.  The Fox is colored with Distress markers.

So glad you stopped by today.  See you next time!!

Straight Up Masculine Birthday card

 Hello Everyone,

Hope you all had joyful Holidays!  Happy New Year!
Back today with a card I made for my nephew. I used stamps from Stampin Up and some masculine colored papers.  The fiber trim is a piece of selvedge I tore from a scrap of fabric.  Makes a nice embellishment and doesn't fray.

I colored the whiskey and sentiment with watercolor markers. I had to do a bit of blending with 3 colors to the get right shade for the whiskey.

The inside.

So glad you stopped by today.  And, I will be back next time with a quilt project.

Music Themed Masculine Birthday Card

Hello Crafty Friends,
Back today with another masculine birthday card.  This one was made for my husband (who is a musician). The guitar is his second favorite instrument.  The trumpet is his first fav.

I found this guitar stamp at a stamping show a few years ago.  It is from The Artful Stamper.  Really makes a great "guy" card.  I double stamped the Happy Birthday with brown and black ink.  Looks kind of shadowy that way.

Glad you stopped by today.  I will have Valentine's Day cards coming up next.  Hope you will stop by and check them out.  And, let me know what you think.

Have an extra super day.

Masculine Birthday: Fishes

Hello Everyone!
Hope all had a great Holiday season.  I did enjoy time with  family over the holidays.  I am back today with a masculine birthday card made for my nephew.  He loves to go fishing soooo...

Stamps are from The Stampin' Place.  The background fish stamp was stamped on white CS with Adirondack Pesto ink.  The individual fish were stamped with Adirondack Oregano ink, colored with Copic markers, and fussy cut.

I added some die cuts to simulate water flora.

Inside looks like this:

We are getting lots of snow today here in Michigan, USA.  Good day to stay inside and make cards!  See you next time for another masculine birthday card.

Classy Gentleman

Hello Everyone!
I am currently working on Christmas cards.  I still have lots of work to do on those, but I will share them with you when done.

Today, I have a gentleman's birthday card.  This one was a special order.   I always ask about the person who will receive the card and was told that he was always such a gentleman.  And, this was how I interpreted that info:

I decided on a vintage look and used browns and blues.  This is a stamp I have had for a while from Pink Persimmon (retired).  Check your stash for this stamp!  It is great for masculine cards.

Thanks for stopping by today!  See you next time with a card made with the help of a wine bottle cork.  Sound fun??!!
Have a great day,
Karen

I used markers to color and added lots of layers.

Masculine Birthday Card Ideas

Hello and Happy Wednesday.
Hope you are enjoying your day.  I have been working out in the yard a bit this week.  We are having new sod put in next week and having several beds cleaned out.  When that is done, I can get to planting my new beds.  I have my plans all sketched out with plant choices.  I can't wait to get planting!  Of course, the weather has to cooperate.  We are still getting some cold nights.  Okay, enough chit chat--on to some cards.
I have a few masculine birthday cards to share today.  I made the cards for an order.  I quite enjoyed coming up with all the guy cards!

The first card really showcases a piece of DP.  The sentiment is the only stamping on this card.  I added a trim the I thought looked like waves.

The next two cards were made by stamping a car or truck and adding some darker papers. The car on the first card is from Flonz Craft.  The DP is from K & Company.

The truck on the is card is from Sweet N Sassy stamps.

Okay, I had better get going.  Coming up later this week is the Lost Coast Designs Women Rule the World Event.  I have some pretty cards to share for that. So, check back for that.  See you then.  Love ya
Karen
