Hello Everyone,
Hope you have been enjoying my Month of Washi tape projects! The projects for the finale of my month of Washi tape are two gorgeous cards with die cut dragonflies and washi tape backgrounds.
The background was created by wrapping washi tape around a piece of cream cardstock. The background was added to a dark brown card base. I added two die cut circles as a platform for the dragonfly which was cut from glitter paper.
The second card was made in the same way. The dragonfly was cut from a shinny, textured paper on this card.
So glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoyed my month of washi tape. And, I hope you have come up with some other ideas for your washi tape. Let me know what you came up in a comment. Would love to see your ideas.

Butterflies, Dragonflies, and Washi Tape - Oh My!
Hello, Crafty Artisans!
Welcome!! So happy you stopped by today for my Month of Washi Tape to check out some cards with washi tape backgrounds!! I also incorporated some of my favorite motifs: butterflies and dragonflies!
The washi tape was wrapped around a piece of lilac cardstock. I picked colors from the tapes to select cardstock and embellishments. I added a purchased paper butterfly embellishment. Great birthday card!
The second card has a bold color pallet. Again, the cardstock colors were chosen from the colors in the tapes. A dragonfly die cut (Stampin' Up) was added. I wrapped some more of the washi tapes around a scrap of cardstock and punched out a circle. A dragonfly was placed on top to the circle and added to the card with dimensional adhesive. Pearls were also used to embellish.
Just love these bold, graphic washi tapes!! They really add some pizzazz to a card.
I have a few more washi tape cards to share and I will do that on the next post! See you again soon.
Karen.

Dragonfly Birthday
Hello Crafty Friends,
Hope you are enjoying Spring. I am loving all the Spring bulbs in my garden. They are so cheerful and always a delight after a long, cold winter.
Today's card is a birthday card made for one of my besties. I layered the dragonfly die cuts and added lots of pretty papers. I choose a bright color palette perfect for Spring.
Thanks for stopping in today. See you next time with napkin cards!

Butterfly and Dragonfly Stickers - More Purple
Hello Everyone!
Back today with more purple cards! I used Basic Grey papers and stickers on the two cards below. The first has a cheerful butterfly.
This card uses a dragonfly, border, and a circle sticker. I stamped the sentiment and added a ribbon.
Just a fun way to use those nice stickers that come with paper packs. And, of course the lovely purple!
Hope your day is filled with plenty of quality crafting time!!

Dragonfly Sympathy Card
Hello All,
Hot as heck here in Michigan, USA. Taking a break from the outside to share this sympathy card I made for the death of a treasured family member. The stamps are from Stampin' Up. I used gold and platinum pigment inks for the stamping. I did not used embossing powder. My ink pads were a little dry so the ink dried quickly.
I also made the envelope and decorated it. This is the front of the envelope below.
Embellishment on the back of the envelope:
The dragonflies were die cut from a gold metallic paper and I used gold satin ribbon.
Inside of card:
I will be back with more of the cards I made using dry embossing. See you then!!

Pretty Decorative Papers Take the Limelight
Hi Dreamers,
Back today with two more cards that feature pretty decorative papers. I also added some snow globe dimensional stickers that coordinate with the paper. You know how you are walking down the aisle of the craft store....and find all the interesting coordinating stickers, chipboard cut outs, etc. Well, I just can't resist some of them !! I always seem to pick up a couple packages! I wanted to use some of those as they have a striking visual impact. But, you can't just stick them on a card. I always have to design a card around them. So, I designed today's cards around the snow globe stickers to make these uplifting cards.
All the Decorative papers and the snow globes are from K & Company.
A few fun Challenges for my Winged Cards:
Penny's Paper-Crafty: anything goes
Word Art Wednesday: anything with an uplifting sentiment
Anything Goes Challenge: In the garden with butterflies
Creative Card Crew: wings
Bunny Zoe's Crafts: blue
I am still working on the card order. I have 40 cards made now. I am going to make a couple more and that should do it. That will keep my customer happy for a while sending out happy mail! I will photograph a few more of the cards from the order to share with you next time. So, see you then! Love ya.

I used a butterfly and dragonfly stamp from Stampin' Up (retired stamps you may have in your collection).

Ribbon Dragonfly Storage Jar
Hi Dreamers!
Today, I have a fun storage idea to share! I found some gigantic glass jars (the kind used for canning) at my local craft store last week. I saw lots of scope in them. LOL I knew they would be perfect for storing loose items. Here are the 9 1/2" tall jars:
I decorated the jar with ribbon dragonflies! I used a Sizzix die to cut out the dragonflies. Let's get started making our decorated storage jar.
Instructions:
Now, I have a super pretty storage jar! And, guess what I decided to store in my Dragonfly Jar!! You guessed it! My ribbon scraps! How Fun!!
I think this jar would look great with spools of thread or buttons. You could use any size jar as well. Smaller ones would be great to store Markers and pens.
*******A Few Fun Challenges for my Dragonfly Storage Jar**
Make My Monday: ribbon or lace
Paper Playtime: 2 or more ribbons
DL. Art: anything goes
CRAFT challenge: anything but a card

Materials List:
Glass Jars with screw top lids (I found these at Michaels Craft Store)
Bordered Orange Sheer Ribbon from May Arts (356-15-28)
Peach Satin Ribbon
Scraps of CS
Dragonfly die cut from Sizzix
I decorated the jar with ribbon dragonflies! I used a Sizzix die to cut out the dragonflies. Let's get started making our decorated storage jar.
Instructions:
- Place ribbon on top of the die and cut. I covered the die with a scrap piece of CS before running through my Cuttlebug just to hold the ribbon in place
- Cut about 12 dragonflies from the ribbons. Cut the same amount from cardstock
- Cut off the heads from the ribbon dragonflies. You can leave the body on some or cut it off
- Cut the wings off the CS dragonflies
- Glue the ribbon wings to the CS bodies
- Attach the dragonflies to the jar with dimensional adhesive all around the jar
- Tie ribbon around the neck of the jar
- Decorate the top of the jar with a circle cut from yellow CS, a big bow and another dragonfly---for this dragonfly I did not cut away the CS wings, but left them to make the dragonfly more stable
