Squirrely Owls

 Hello Everyone,

I am back today with more cards!  This set of cards with the squirrely Owls were made for a card drive. I think the owls are just so goofy looking. They really make me smile.

Information on the card drive can be found here.

The owls were stamped with Archival ink and colored with markers.  Then some of the owls were fussy cut and layered on with dimensional adhesive. Others were stamped directly onto white cardstock.

So glad you stopped by today.  I have a few more of the cards for the card drive that I will share in future posts. Hope you are having a lovely day.

Wild- Life Fun Birthday Cards

 Hello Everyone!

Today, I wanted to share some cute wild-life animal/ camping cards.  I made one of these for my nephew's birthday.  He loves camping so I thought this would work for him.  Pretty Cute!

Also made a couple Owl themed cards with the same stamp set.  Copic markers were used for coloring on all the cards.

The cards were made in the scene building manner.  Each of the images are a separate stamp and you have to figure out where you want to put each image.  Pretty fun to make.
So glad you stopped by today and I will see you next time!

Merry Christmas To Owl

Hello Everyone,

Little different project today.   This is a small wall hanging quilted project.  I made two of these.  One for myself and one for my buddy, Jan.  She has already received hers, so this post will not spoil the surprise.  LOL  The quilt pattern was from a pattern book I purchased at Annie's Craft Store on line.  I used heat and bond to apply the appliques and machine stitched around the appliques.  I did a little bit of machine quilting.

I used Christmas prints in 100% cotton.  I used a recycled light weight sweater for the tree.

So glad you stopped by today.  I will be back next time with Christmas cards.  I made over 50 cards.  I did get the photos edited yesterday.  Now I have to get them addressed and mailed.  Still lots to do.  Did my Christmas gift shopping on line today.  See you soon.

Whoo is Watching You?? With Lost Coast Designs

Hello Dreamers!
Whimsy is the word for today.  I have used one of the new releases from Lost Coast Designs and paired it with a fun Carmen's Veranda stamp to make this cute Owl project.

Isn't this guy adorable??!!  This is a fairly large stamp (4.75" x 3") --so it really takes center stage on the card.

Material List:
Stamps: Megan's Owl from Lost Coast Designs; Eyeglasses from Carmen's Veranda
Ink: Northern Pine and Black Memento
CS: White, dark green textured, lime green
Copic Markers

Make It:

  • Make a card from lime CS and add a layer of dark green textured CS
  • Stamp the owl on white CS with Northern Pine ink
  • Color the owl with Copic Markers and add a layer of lime CS; add to card
  • Stamp the glasses with black ink; fussy cut glasses and add to owl face with dimensional adhesives

LOL  Super fun!  Pair this with an owl "who" play on words pun and you have a great card for any occasion.
