WOYWW-Valentines for a Card Drive

Hello Everyone,
It has been a  while since I  visited the Stamping Ground for a peek at all the workdesks around the world .  I thought it would be fun to visit today!  For more info on "What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday" check out  Julia's blog.  I have a different work area now--I moved in October  and am still working on setting everything up.

I have been making Valentines for the "Cards from the Heart" card drive organized by Winter-see her blog for info.  The cards go to hospitalized children on Valentine's day.  I have 55 cards ready to go out.  Here is my desk and table while the work is in progress.  I have a new Ott light that works quite well.  The paint brushed were for some other project and did not get put away.  I am trying out different ribbons with the papers.  The tea cut has a tissue with essential oils on it so my work area smells good.  LOL

The little white tags get stamped later and have ribbon added at the top.  I did not end up using the paper doilies on this design.

Paper selection going on here.

Thought it would be fun to die cut some felt.  I did use these on some CAS Valentines.  I will be posting all the cards though out this month and next.  Here is a sneak peek at the cards.

Well, I am off to check out the workdesks!!  Check back later for a full post on one of the Valentines card.  Hope you are having a great day!  We are getting snow and cold temperatures. Just the perfect day to stay inside and do a little blogging!  I must go make some coffee before I do one more thing!   See you soon!  Love ya

WOYWW 188 - Making Card For Kids

Hi Everyone!
Here I am back with What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday!  I took a little break over the holidays and missed peeking into all the creative spaces.  Check out Julia's Blog Stamping Ground for all the details.  And, link up for a journey around the world having a look at all the busy work spaces!  On my desk are some of the cards I have been making for Operation Write Home.  The cards were all designed to appeal to Children.   I will take better photos later  and post them to my blog.  I decided that January will be a month when I make cards for card drives.  I started this morning on Valentine's cards that will be sent to hospitalized children.  I will share those as well when I get them made.  Here's my desk:

There are some My Favorite Things, Stampavie, Crafter's Companion, and Sweet N Sassy stamps.  And, lots of papers.  I am putting a little ribbon on the bunny card.   Below are a few more of the cards I made for Operation Write Home.  Stamps: My Favorite Things, ducks-Prairie Fairy digi, bird is a Sizzix die cut.

And, this last photo is a picture of a cutter I bought.  (One of my Christmas gifts from my husband--I picked it out and bought it.  LOL)  It works pretty good and the cuts are very accurate.

Hope you have enjoyed taking a peek at my work space.  Tomorrow I will be posting a card made with Stampsmith stamps.  Something to warm you up on a cold winter's day.  See you then.  Happy WOYWWing!!  Love ya.

WOYWW 183 -Stacks of Cards to Sell

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to my world!  So, here we are again at Wednesday.  What is so special about Wednesday, you ask.  Well, that's the day we get to take a look at work spaces all over the world with Julia on her blog Stamping Ground.    On my workdesk, I have all my cards that are going to a sale on Friday.

You may have seen some of these on my workdesk over the past several months.  I have been working hard to get all these cards made and packaged up.  I also will be selling crocheted scarves that I made.
Where is this sale you ask?
If you are in the Detroit Metro area---The sale is in Dearborn, Michigan (USA).  It is Patient Appreciation Night at my Chiropractor's office--Labo Family Chiropractic.   On Monroe -corner of Military.  December 7 -- 6 to 9 PM.
Dr Heidi  hosts this event twice a year.  If you are a patient and sell items, you may come and set up a table with your wares.  Everyone is invited to come and see what's for sale.  Maybe pick up a few Holiday gifts.  Should be fun!
So, that is where I will be this Friday.
Enjoy your hop around the world with WOYWW!!

PS: Later today I will have a Cutesy Christmas card with a Meljens digi and tomorrow two snowman ornaments made with dominoes.  Sound fun??  Catch you later!!

WOYWW 181---Making a few Christmas Cards

Hi Dreamers!
Happy Wednesday!  And, Wednesday in Blog land means it is time for What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday hosted by Julia on her blog, Stamping Ground.  Here is your chance to take a sneak peek at workdesks all over the world.  Ain't the world wide web great!?  On my desk, I am working on some more Christmas cards.  The samples here are made with Character Construction stamps.

I will post the finished projects on the weekend.  In the USA, we will be celebrating Thanksgiving on Thursday and most people also have Friday off.  So, a nice holiday weekend here.   Have to run to the grocery store this morning to pick up a few things for dinner tomorrow.  My brother is hosting and doing most of the cooking.  I will be bringing a green veg, rolls, and homemade pecan pie.  So, I better get going.  Hope you enjoy taking a peek at all the workdesks.  Happy WOYWW!!  Love ya.

PS: Julia, there are three pairs of scissors here too.  We need that many.  LOL

WOYWW 180---Thanksgiving Cards

Hi Dreamers!
Time for What's on You Workdesk Wednesday!!!  It's a fun trip around the world with Julia at the Stamping Ground.  We just love to be nosy and have a peek at all the work spaces of other Crafters and Artists.  I have three photos of my table today.  The first is very messy.  I tried to work on it, but it was just too messy...I could not stand it.  See what I mean?     (I will post that Christmas Angel card tomorrow.)

I am trying to make a few more Thanksgiving cards (Thanksgiving is next Thursday here in the States).  I just could not stand the mess and took a minute to clean up and put a fresh piece of paper down.    Now the table is clean.

Digi from Eureka Stamps

But, 20 minutes later.....Messy again!!    I have colored the Owls (Mark's Finest/Heinrich) with Copics.  I made these into Thanksgiving cards.  I will post those tomorrow.   Did not use that Spellbinder, not the right size.

I will post a Holiday Place Card made with Character Construction later today. So check back for that.  It is pretty cute.  Have fun whirling around the world!  Hope you have a great day!

WOYWW - 179 Christmas tags and more

Hi Dreamers!!
It's Wednesday and time for the Stamping Ground's What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday brought to you by the lovely Julia.  Take a trip around the world and get the insider look at creative artists' work areas!  Here is my desk/work area for this week.

I am working on a group of small tags.  I used the Vintage Christmas sets from Character Construction.  In this photo, I am putting the ribbons on the tags.  Here is a closer look.

I finished the tags and will post the finished projects later today.  I cleared the tags away and began stamping some backgrounds with the same stamps sets.  I will be showing this set of Christmas cards all this month and next month.  This is as far as I have gotten on the cards.  I will also be posting a tutorial on making the backgrounds sometime this month.  Lots going on here in Dreamland!

Hope you are having a great WOYW Wednesday !    We are enjoying a bright and sunny Fall day today here in Michigan.  Gotta run and I will be back later with the post for the finished tags.  Love ya!

WOYWW 178---A Few Things in the Works

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Hi Everyone,
Welcome to my world.  It is What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday!!  Thanks to Julie at The Stamping Ground we get to take a look at work spaces all over the world.  "What's fun about that", you ask?  Well, I', not exactly sure, but trust me, this is fun.  I always seem to pick up a few great ideas every week.  Not to mention see some cool artwork.  So, here we go with my table.

Made a few more backgrounds for some submissions.  I have been working on those all week.  There are two cards there that I don't know what they are for.  Oh, I need a birthday card!  I can use one of them for that.

This is the cutting area...Yeah right.  Well, if I move all that stuff, I can cut here.  LOL

The Last Roses of Summer ( in my garden) for you nature lovers.  See more of my Garden here.

Picture with funny story: On Sunday afternoon, I watched a squirrel jam this mini pumpkin down between two branches.  He took a couple bits of it and then scampered off.  I guess he left it there for safe keeping.

Happy WOYWW.   Have fun peeking at everyone's work spaces!  I know I do.  It is cold and rainy here today in Michigan.  I hope it warms up a bit for the Trick or Treaters tonight.  Have a super day.  Love ya.

WOYWW 177- An Owl Card in the Making

Hi Dreamers!
Here I am back as promised with my messy desk/work space.  Why am I posting my messy desk???  Well, it is the brain child of  the lovely Julia at her blog The Stamping Ground .  Doesn't it sound like fun to check out the creative work spaces of other artists around the world??!!  Legalized snooping!  LOL.   I haven't been up to a lot this last week as my husband had the week off.  But, anyway, here is my messy work space.

I still have a few of the Fall cards to finish up (upper left).

The Santa tag is done and I posted that yesterday for my weekly Blockheads Design Team project.

I am working on the Owl card which I finished later and posted  today here.  I am coloring this digi from Meljens Designs with Copics and Marvy Le Plume markers.

Thanks for stopping by to see my messy work space   I edited out some of the really messy spots to the right.  You can't help getting messy with all the inks and things, as I am sure you all know.  Happy WOYWW!!!  Love ya.

WOYWW 176 - Fall Themed

Hello Everyone!
Is it really Wednesday again?  My, the days just seem to fly by!  As it is Wednesday, it is time to fly around the world checking out all the work spaces.  How is this possible you ask.  Well, through the magic of Julia at The Stamping Ground and  Mr linky of course.   I have been quite busy lately.  I have finished making the cards that I will sell at a small show in December.  I ended up with about 200 cards.  They have to all be packaged yet.  So, I thought I would make a few cards for charities and for friends and family.  Hence these fall themed cards.  Half are going to two charities and half to family.  I used a stamp from Memory Box.  There is a bag of twine that I may use on some of the cards.

Well, I am off to visit some other work desks!!  Hope you are having a great day!! Love ya.

WOYWW-172 Sad and Lonely

Hi Dreamers!
I am back.  Been off line since Friday.  Down and out with a terrible virus.  Feeling better today and ready to get back in the swing of things and take a look at all the work desks around the world with Julia at The Stamping Ground.   My work table looks very sad and lonely today.  There is a bit of a Halloween card (unfinished) that has been laying there since Friday, some new stamps that I have not tried yet.  Some bright colored Perfect Pearls.  I used the Liquid Perfect Pearls straight from the bottle around the edge of the Halloween image and diluted them with water and brushed them on the black cardstock.  There is also my dad's  Birthday card (stamps from Our Daily Bread).  The birthday party was postponed until this week end.

And, because my table looked so sad and lonely, I also took a picture of my sewing machine cabinet.  As you can see, I need to file and put away lots of cards.  There really is a sewing machine under all that.  The basket on the back left has bits and pieces that will be used for some future projects.  The other baskets and the box are filled with finished cards.

Hope you have enjoyed looking at my sad and lonely work table today.   I don't have any new projects to post today but, I do have a card in the new Oct/Nov/Dec Stampers' Sampler!!  I made a vintagey Christmas card with Stamps from My Favorite Things.  Hope you will check it out.
Have a great day!!  Love ya.
