Juliet in Love with The Stampsmith

Hi Dreamers!
I am back with more Valentine's Day inspiration!  This card features the lovely Juliet from The Stampsmith Stamps.  I wanted to show how you can use a non-Valentine stamp to make a beautiful Valentine's day card.

To make the heart, I stamped Rose Background (also from The Stampsmith) on white CS with pink pigment ink multiple times.  Then die cut the heart (from A Muse Studios) from the stamped CS.   Stamp Juliet with black dye ink.

Glue the heart to  light pink CS.  Wrap the sheer ribbon around the CS.  Cut another piece of the ribbon and tie in a knot around the ribbon wrapped around the CS.  Glue this unit to a dark pink card base.  Add the pearls and laces.  Die cut the word love (from A Muse Studios).

Some lovely challenges for the lovely Juliet:
Challenges 4 Everybody: anything goes
No Matter Which: ribbons and bows
Glitter N sparkle: girls
Sentimental Sundays: love is in the air

Butterfly Kisses and Valentines with The Stampsmith

Hi Dreamers,
It is all about the LOVE this week in Dreamland.   I wanted to share a Valentine's Day card I made with Stampsmith stamps.  This stamp is called Butterfly Kisses.

I sprayed the glossy white CS with  pink spray ink from A Muse Studios.  When that was dry, I stamped  this sweet image with black dye over the pink spray ink.

The sentiment is from The Stampsmith full sheet, Paris.

Ain't she sweet!!??    I will be sending this out to someone for Valentine's Day.  Well, I hope you have a great day!!  Love ya.

Valentine with Perfect Pearls and Blockheads Stamps

Hi Dreamers!
I am back after a few days off.  Spent Saturday shopping with my buddy, Sharon,.--Very fun.  Relaxed on Sunday and got a few things ready for Card Ministry, which was Monday night.  Hubby is home and not feeling well.  Some kind of bug, we think.  I made a big pot of chicken soup for him yesterday.  That always makes him feel better.

For the month of February, the Blockheads Design Team will be showing a few ways to use Perfect Pearls.  Blockheads is now carrying Perfect Pearls in the individual pots in some pretty new colors.  I used Sunflower Sparkle to make a shimmery spray!  And, since Valentines's day is next week, I went with a Valentine's/Love theme.

Materials List:
Stamps: Large Damask single (also available on the Feeling Regal Set),  Love and Romance Half Sheet all from Blockheads
Inks: Onyx Black Versa Fine, Barn Door and Frayed Burlap Distress Ink: Spun Sugar Distress Re-inker
Sunflower Sparkle Perfect Pearls
Mini Misters
Spray bottle with water
Cardstock: red, black, white

Instructions:

  • Make the Perfect Pearls Shimmer Spray: In a Mini Mister put a couple pinches of Perfect Pearls, three drops of Spun Sugar re-inker, and water.  Shake
  • Make card base from red CS
  • To make the background: Ink the Large Damask stamp with Barn Door ink--spray the inked stamp with water --- just a few spritzes.  Now stamp onto the white CS  --gives a nice muted image.

  • Distress the white CS with Frayed Burlap ink.
  • Spray with the Perfect Pearls Shimmer mist and let dry or dry with heat tool.
  • Stamp "Valentine" with Onyx Black ink
  • Stamp  heart (from Love and Romance Set) with Barn Door ink; cut out and distress with Frayed Burlap
  • Add to card with dimensionals.

Can you see the lovely shimmer the spray makes??!!  By making my own spray, I can have any color and intensity I like!  How fun is that??!!

And why not a few challenges!!
Pause, Dream, Enjoy: mostly red
Simon Says stamp: anything goes
Cheerful Stamp pad: Heart

Hope you are having a great day!  I will be back tomorrow with more Valentine's day inspiration!!
Love ya.

February Stampsmith Challenge: Photo Inspiration

Hi Dreamers!
Happy February!  And, the first of the month always means a new Stampsmith Challenge.  Don't forget to pop over to the Challenge blog and see who won last month's challenge!  This month we are challenging you to create a project that is inspired by this photo.  And, please also use at least one Stampsmith Stamp.

I used the neutral on neutral color scheme of the inspiration photo.  I was thinking that the shoe was fashion related and picked a stamp with fashion theme.  Then I added punched shapes to mimic the shapes in the background of the photo.

This stamp is called Paris Eiffel Dress from The Stampsmith.  I stamped it on glossy CS with black dye ink.

I used a decorative paper that has a lattice type pattern that I felt resembled the pattern of the woven leather shoe.

Pretty cool stamp, don't you think?!  I love this image.  Tres Chic!  Can't wait to see what you come up with!!  Link you project up on the Stampsmith Challenge blog site for a chance to win a gift certificate.

A few Fun challenges for my Fashionable paris lady:
365 Cards: day 30-retro
Simon Says Stamp: anything goes
Creative Moments: neutrals

Hope you are having a great day!!  See you tomorrow with a Perfect Pearls Valentine with Blockhead stamps.  Love ya.
