If the Shoe Fits...

 Hello Everyone,

Welcome back to girlie month here in Dreamland.  In honor of Mother's Day, I will be focusing on super girlie themes like lipsticks, shoes and purses.   Today's card features a die cut purse to wear with lovely shoes.

Elegant Celebration with Shoes!

 Hello Everyone,

Vintage Ladies with Floral Background

Hello Everyone!
Been kind of a not so good week.  My husband was home sick.  He tried going in today.  He still does not feel good though.  And, we have a busy weekend ahead too.  The Dearborn Big Band is playing at the Michael Guido Performing Arts Center on Sunday ( Don is the director and trumpet player).  So, a big day for the band.
Saturday, I am going to a fund raiser/card making day with my buddy, Sharon.  Should be fun!  Looking forward to getting out and making a few cards for fun after the hustle and bustle of the holidays.

I thought I would post two cards today.  The cards are a variation on my Vintage Stamping Challenge project I posted two weeks ago here. The challenge runs all month and the details can be found here.  The theme is "New Year - New Stash"


Here is Card one:

Materials List:

Stamps: Flowers Engraving and Vintage Fashion Girl - Twenties 2 both from Flonzcraft Stamps; speckles background stamp

Ink: Rich Cocoa, Toffee Crunch -Memento;  Creamy Caramel from  Stampin' Up

CS: Cream; Tobacco Brown; Black; Mustard yellow

Watercolor Crayons - Stampin' Up

Distressing tool

Ribbons

Heat gun

Spray bottle 

 Instructions:

• Make a card from tobacco brown mustard yellow CS
• Add a torn layer of black to the tobacco brown card
• On Cream CS, stamp the Flowers Engraving with Toffee Crunch and another with Creamy Caramel ink
• Stamp the Fashion Girls with Rich Cocoa ink
• Stamp speckles on the background with Creamy Caramel for card two

• Tear the edges of one stamped piece and distress the edges of the second stamped piece with distressing tool 
• Color the edges with the watercolor crayon
• Distress edges again
• Spray the watercolor crayon lightly with water and dry with heat gun ( I rubbed the crayon coloring with my finger to soften the edges before drying)
• Add to the card base

• Add ribbons to each card

The cards are going in my to send box.  They will be perfect for any occasion.  I will add sentiments when I use them.

Vintage Stamping Challenge - January!

Hello Everyone!
I hope you had a great holiday season!  And, I wish you a new year filled with joy!!
I had a little time off from making cards over the holidays and just made one or two for immediate needs.  So, I feel refreshed and ready to start creating again. Good thing too,as it is time for a new challenge on the Vintage Stamping Challenge Blog.

The theme of this month's challenge is:

New Year; New Stash

Make a project using your new stash and link up on the challenge blog. (Doesn't have to be vintage.)

The challenge is sponsored by Flonzcraft Stamps----They are offering a $20 gift certificate for one lucky winner.

I used some new stamps from Flonzcraft to create my design team project.

Materials List:

Stamps: Flowers Engraving and Vintage Fashion Girl - Twenties 2 both from Flonzcraft Stamps; scroll stamp

Ink: Vintage Sepia Versa Fine; Cameo Coral and Creamy Caramel from  Stampin' Up

CS: Cream; Dark  Brown; and Electric Red from My Favorite Things

Watercolor Crayons - Stampin' Up

Distressing tool

Eye Lash Yarn

Lace

Pink Pearls

Dimensional adhesive

Heat gun

Spray bottle 

Instructions:

• Make a card from dark brown CS and layer with Electric Red CS
• On Cream CS, stamp the Flowers Engraving with Cameo Coral  and Fashion Girls with Vintage Sepia ink
• lightly stamp a little scroll stamp with Creamy Coral in upper corner

• Distress the edges of the stamped piece with distressing tool and color the edges with the watercolor crayon
• Distress edges again
• Spray the watercolor crayon lightly with water and dry with heat gun ( I rubbed the crayon coloring with my finger to soften the edges before drying)
• Add to card front with dimensional adhesive
• Add a piece of lace to left edge and wrap eyelash yarn around card over lace
• Add pearls to corners

I had fun with this layout and made six versions....  LOL   You know how I get carried away when I start to stamp!   I will share the other versions with you this month.

Fashionable Friendship

Hi Dreamers!
Seems like I have been away from Dreamland for a long time.  I have been busy running around getting a mammogram, a massage, and going to the chiropractor.  Like I said the other day, trying to catch up on things.  Dentist and a few other things next week.
Today, I have a card for you that is all about fashion and friendship.  I was inspired by several challenges for this card.  I used the sketch from Crazy 4 Challenges and the fashion theme from Rogue Redhead Designs.

Materials:

Stamps: Rogue Redhead

Ink: Black Pigment; black dye

Clear Embossing Powder

CS: Blushing Bride and Sage Shadow - SU; white; med green - Bazzill

DP: K & Company, Cosmo Cricket

Spellbinder's dies, circle punch, edge punch

Copic Markers

Buttons

Sheer ribbon

Instructions:

• Make a square card from the med green CS and layer with Sage Shadow.
• Cut the scallop circles from Blushing Bride CS
• Follow the sketch for placement

• Cut a rectangle from the K & Co DP and punch the edge
• Stamp the lovely lady on the same DP with black pigment ink and heat emboss
• Cut out the hat and coat

•  Stamp the lady again on white CS with black dye ink and color with Copic Markers
• Paper piece the hat and coat

• Assemble all the elements
• Cut a strip of Cosmo Cricket DP and notch the end
• Add buttons and ribbon

Stamp Sentiment on the inside.

February Stampsmith Challenge: Photo Inspiration

Hi Dreamers!
Happy February!  And, the first of the month always means a new Stampsmith Challenge.  Don't forget to pop over to the Challenge blog and see who won last month's challenge!  This month we are challenging you to create a project that is inspired by this photo.  And, please also use at least one Stampsmith Stamp.

I used the neutral on neutral color scheme of the inspiration photo.  I was thinking that the shoe was fashion related and picked a stamp with fashion theme.  Then I added punched shapes to mimic the shapes in the background of the photo.

This stamp is called Paris Eiffel Dress from The Stampsmith.  I stamped it on glossy CS with black dye ink.

I used a decorative paper that has a lattice type pattern that I felt resembled the pattern of the woven leather shoe.

Pretty cool stamp, don't you think?!  I love this image.  Tres Chic!  Can't wait to see what you come up with!!  Link you project up on the Stampsmith Challenge blog site for a chance to win a gift certificate.
