Oh So Girlie Jane Austen Inspired Card

Hi Dreamers!
I am back today with one more of my Jane Austen themed cards.  This card features an Artistic Outpost stamp set, die cuts and lots of girlie embellishments.

Materials:
Ink: Bordering Blue (Stampin' Up), Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Distress Markers (Ranger)
CS: Medium blue, pale green textured, gray, and white
Spellbinders die
Sky Blue Seam binding (Stampin' Up)
Paper flowers
tiny Pearls

Instructions:

  • Make a folded card from the Medium blue CS and layer with pale green textured CS
  • Die cut a shape from white CS
  • On white CS die cut shape-- stamping off once, stamp  the background with Bordering--repeat once more to cover the background.
  • Stamp Jane with Tuxedo Black

  • Color the image with Distress Markers
  • Die cut  a larger shape from gray CS and layer with the stamped piece
  • Add to card front

  • Make a bow with gathered tails---starting at the outside edge of one tail, hand sew gathering stitches along the tail.  Run the thread through the knot and continue the gathering stitches down the other tail. Pull up the stitches to gather and knot the thread.

  • Distress the paper flowers with the Bordering Blue ink and glue to card
  • Add pearls to the center of each flower and also scatter some pearls around.
