Snow Cold Penguin

Happy Monday,

Today I have a winter/holiday/missing you card. I have used a digi image from Cardmad Fairy. This is my Design Team card for the Stamping Vacation blog Color Combo challenge. This month, we challenge you to make a project using the colors:

Red and Gold

Hoping to inspire you to take the challenge, I made this card. Oh, there is a prize too. A $15.00 gift certificate to CardMad Fairy and there will also be a $10.00 gift certificate to Scrap Attack. Sounds good to me!

I colored the digi image with markers. The ovals are a Marvy punch and a Sizzix die cut. DP: Red snowflakes from My Mind's Eye, Red plaid from K & Company. The card base is made from white cs that I sponged with gold metallic ink. I added a cheerful red ribbon and a cutesy sentiment from My Sentiments Exactly. And, I have a couple close ups for you.

You can really see the cuteness of this Penguin image. He looks so chilly and silly. LOL.

Challenges for a cute Snow Cold Penguin:
Top Tip Tuesday: Anything goes
Rainbow Lady's challenge: Christmas Animals
Alphabet Challenge: F is for Foliage- holly printed on the red ribbon
Winter Wonderland: Penguins and Polar Bears
The Stampman: Limit of 3 Christmas Colors and Christmas theme
Totally Papercrafts: Christmas theme and punches
Play Date Cafe: Photo Inspiration- I was inspired by the colors in the photo.
The Crafty Pad: Anything goes and their 100th challenge celebration

Hope you are getting your Christmas cards finished up. Mine are all done, but I have to get busy writing in them and addressing the envelopes.

Hubby Update: Don made it through his first week of treatment. He was not sick and felt well enough to go into work on Friday. So, I consider that an answer to prayer. But, he had a bad day on Saturday. Again but, he felt much better on Sunday and went off to work this morning. I also want to say an extra special "Thank You" to everyone who prayed for him. Thank you so much for caring.

Love, Karen
