Border Stamps and Washi Tape - Day Two

Hi Dreamers!
Here I am back with the second of my cards that combine Border stamps with Washi Tape.  See Day One here.  I used the same Lost Coast Designs Border stamp for this card.  But, the mood is completely different.  I went with gold washi tape and sparkly twine to create an elegant Congrats card.

Materials List:
Stamps: Stars Border and Party Words from Lost Coast Designs
CS; White; Black; Tobacco Brown from Bazzill
Ink: Pearlescent Rust Pigment Brilliance; Orange Dye Ink
Distress Ink: Tea Dye
Distress Stain: Tarnished Brass
Embossing Powder: Kaleidoscope - Stampendous
Gold Washi Tape
Gold Thread Bakers Twine- Stampin' Up

Instructions:
  • Make an A2 size card with Tobacco Brown CS and layer with Black CS
  • On White CS, stamp the Stars Border with the pigment ink and heat emboss
  • Stamp and emboss the border stamp three times over the white CS
  • Add the Washi Tape to fill in the spaces around the stamping

  • Swipe the Distress Stain along the edges of the white CS
  • Apply the distress inks to the white CS--on the edges and into the middle of the piece
  • Add to the card base
  • Stamp the sentiment with orange dye ink on white CS
  • Tear the edges and add to card with dimensional adhesive

********Challenges for my Congrats with Border stamps and washi tape:
Mark's Finest: Stamp your background
Vintage Journey: distress stains

So, a totally different look using the same stamp as on the card from day one.  I think this could be given as an anniversary card or retirement card.......  I am just having  bunch of fun playing with the Border stamps and the washi tape!!  I have one more project to share with you.  I used the Dragonfly Border on this card.  I will save that one for next time!   See you then.  Love ya.
