WOYWW 171- Making Backgrounds

Hi Dreamers!
Happy Wednesday!!  It is time again to check out all the work areas around the world with Julia at the Stamping Ground.  My work area is covered with backgrounds that I made with Crafter's Workshop Templates and spray inks.

Opps!  My foot got in the picture.  At least my toes look good.  LOL   I tried to use the template and sprays on a lunch bag (at the top of photo). As long as I used a template that was not too detailed it was okay.  But, on the reverse side of  bag (not shown) I tried a very detailed template and  the lunch bag was too thin and the inks just ran and looked all blobby.

I do like how the brown and blue look together.  The orange backgrounds will be great for some Fall themed cards.  I will put the background in a folder for future use.  I like to keep a stack of background so I can just grab a few when making cards.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my work space.  I think I will be back later with a wedding card.
Have a great day!  Love ya.
Karen

  5. That’s a very colourful desk you have this week Karen and you’re so organised too. Loving the Brown and Blue together too!
I never have anything ready and waiting to be used and usually leave everything till the last minute and then get fed up waiting for things to dry before I can continue. May be I need to take a leave out of your book.
Thanks for dropping by this week and good luck with the candy draw…………whatever it turns out to be!

    Happy Crafting!

  7. Hi Karen thanks for popping by. Love the backgrounds. I like the blue and orange combo. I hope you weren't standing on a swivel chair to take that shot! You are right lovely manicured toes!! Happy WOYWW to you from Helen 5

  8. What awesome backgrounds I like them all. Thanks for sharing but I am worried at how tall you are to get that shot so high. Ok I saw the toes peeking out, you stood on the chair, now that can be dangerous. LOL

    Happy crafting

  9. Hi, Karen, thanks for your visit to my blog. I like your backgrounds -- the orange is seasonal & Halloween and the swirls are so versatile. I'm wondering how you got the second color on there without getting it on the first color. . . I have been meaning to do color swatches for my sprays. Maybe I should get some stencils out and do some backgrounds at the same time. ~ Laura #124

You are so right - it is the process which is the fun bit:) Mental note made to remind myself of that on a regular basis. Thanks for stopping by, Hugs Buttons #70
