Vintage Bird Images

Hi Everyone!
I am back today with some projects using another new release from Blockheads Paper Arts.  This set it called Vintage Bird Illustrations and is right up my alley.  The images are just fab!! This is the whole set.  Each stamp is also available individually.

I have been in a tag mood and I continue to make tags this week.  I made this one using the Nest and Bird #1 from the set.

Materials:

Pre-cut Tags

Inks: Vintage Sepia - VersaFine

        Tea Dye Distress Ink -Ranger

Sprays: Gold, Peach, and  Log Cabin Brown Smooch

Watercolor Crayons

Blue and Cream Cardstock

Fibers

Brad

Start with the Pre-cut tag and stamp the nest with Vintage Sepia.  Stamp again on a scrap of CS and cut out.  This will be used as a mask.  Cover  the nest with the mask and spray the tag with the Smooch and glimmer sprays.  I used the mask because I did not want the nest to be sparkly, only the background.  Stamp the bird on cream CS and cut out.  Color the bird, eggs and nest with Watercolor crayons to add a touch of color.  Layered the tag on a piece of Blue Cs.  Add all the fibers.  I used a scrap of cotton fabric, twine, and pearl cotton.  Add the brad to the corner.  Here is a close up of the tag.

On to project #2.   I made a card using the other bird and the large egg.

Materials

Cream, Brown and Kraft Cardstock

Inks: Vintage Sepia - VersaFine

        Tea Dye Distress Ink -Ranger

        Vintage Photo Distress Ink- Ranger

Black Ribbon

I stamped the egg multiple times on Cream CS with Vintage Sepia ink to create a background.  Distress the edges with both Distress inks.    On the Kraft CS stamp the bird three times and distress the edges.  Add this to the center of the egg background.   Wrap black ribbon around the CS on the top and bottom of the bird piece.  Add to a dark brown card base.  Tie a bow and glue to card.   This bird is just too cute!

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from the Verses-Special Delivery set.    I stamped one bird and distressed the edges.
