I had a great time at the Heirloom Stamp show and will have pictures for you tomorrow of all my goodies. Today, I used some of those new goodies to make this summer scene card.
Stamps: Petals Cover-A-Card (CC022)
Live, Love, Laugh Mailboxes (H1819)
both from Impression Obsession
I stamped the Cover_A-Card with Cantalope ink (Memento) on white CS. The main image was stamped with Stazon ink. I colored with markers using a blender pen. I also watercolored with ink and a wet brush.
I used some bright and hot summer colors. The orange CS is from Bazzill, blue from TPC, and Ruby Red from Stampin' Up. I did not use any DP, but created the background paper with the Cover-A-Card stamp.
For accents I added a Polka Dot orange ribbon. I wrapped a piece around the blue CS and made a pleated piece that was glued to the side. I used double sided tape to hold the pleats, but should have used Fabri-Tac glue. I also added a sheer blue ribbon from Heidi Grace (a bit of blog candy from Cheryl at She Stamps. Thanks a bunch!) Here is a close up of the ribbon accent.
Now, how about some challenges!!!
Impression Obsession: Orange
Cheerful Stamp Pad: Circles - I have a large sun on my card and lots of dots.
Reasonable Ribbon: Sizzling summer
Cute Card Thursday: No DP
Sentimental Sundays: Flowers and a Sentiment
Stamping for the Weekend: Spots and dots- polka dot ribbon and spotted background.
So, those are two of the new stamps I picked up yesterday from the Impression Obsession booth. See you tomorrow for pic's of all my new stuff. Hope you are enjoying your weekend. Love ya.
