Bird Cages with Petal Background

Hi Dreamers,
Hope your weekend is going great!  Having a great time here making lots of projects and playing with my new Distress Markers from Blockheads Paper Arts.    For today's card, I used some stamps from Impression Obsession:  Birds in Cages  (H10018) , Petals Cover-a-Card (CC022C-A-C), Sentiment from Life is Tweet (CL256).




I started with white CS and stamped the Petal Cover-a-Card with Blue Violet Archival ink (Ranger) ---Stamp off once!!   I liked the softer shade I got on the second generation stamping.   I used a heat gun to dry the ink.  Then I stamped the birds in cages with Cobalt Archival ink.  Dry before coloring.  The image is colored with Distress Markers.  The stamped piece is layered onto a card base made from Pacific Point CS (Stampin' Up).

    Wow, Karen, how cool is that!!! I love what you did with the backgound and the birds. That CAC is perfect it looks like feathers on the birds too! Thanks for playing and good luck in the drawing too, lady!!!
