More Halloween Fun to Celebrate the New Stampsmith Store Site

Hi Everyone,
I thought I would help Estelle of The Stampsmith celebrate the launching of her new Store Web Site by posting this scary Black Cat Halloween card.  I used one of the frightful fun stamps from the Halloween Full Sheet.

Very Scary!!!  Man, I just love all these wild and crazy images!  I have been getting all my Halloween cards done and this set has been so fun to work with.  Take a look at my card.

Love that dark blue sparkly paper.  My card is also featured on the Vamp Stamp News Public Gallery.  Check all the other Halloween cards over there too.

Card Size: 4 ¾” x 5 ¾”
Materials:
  1. Stamps: Black Cat and Boo from the Halloween Full Sheet from The Stampsmith.
  2. Card Stock: Only Orange, Night of Navy (100867) and Basic Black (102851) from Stampin’ Up; Glossy Black and White from Kromekote; Blue Glitter Card from Kreaxions.
  3. Ink: Dragonfly Black Pigment from Color Box; Tuxedo Black (ME-900) Memento; Black Soot Distress Ink (TIM19541) Ranger.
  4. Coloring Tools: Orange and gray Copic Markers; Faded Jeans Distress Stain (TDW29847) Ranger.
  5. Embellishments: Black Brad; Black Satin Ribbon from Michaels Craft Store.
  6. Other: Paint Brush; Zots 3-D Clear Adhesive Dots (17180); Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing folder (37-1604) Provo Craft; Tag Punch from Fiskars; Clear Embossing Powder (EPB10968) Ranger.
Instructions:
Make a card from Orange CS and layer with Smooth Black CS.  Dry emboss a piece of Black Glossy CS with the Swiss Dots folder and add to the left side of card.  Stamp the Black Cat image on Glossy White CS with Tuxedo Black ink.  Color the moon with orange and the cat with dark gray Copics.  Apply the distress Stain to the sky area with a dry paint brush.  Press the brush to the sponge top of the Distress Stain bottle to pick up the stain.  Begin on the edges and work inwards.  Layer the stamped piece with Night of Navy and Blue Glitter CS.  Tie a piece of black satin ribbon around card.  Add the stamp piece to the card front with 3-D dots.  Stamp “Boo” on a piece of orange CS and heat emboss.  Punch the sentiment out with the tag punch.  Dry emboss with the Cuttlebug folder and distress with Black Soot Distress Ink.   Add a brad to the end and glue to the card front over ribbon bow.

Here is a close up view.

  1. Hi Karen
I was apprehensive as to your Hallowe'en offerings as I was sure you were going to scare the wits out of me ROFL. Now for a wimp like me this I can handle. Estelle will be thrilled you made such an announcement. I will need to wait until this coming week as have other DT artwork happening today.
Isn't it all exciting and the new site looks so wonderful.
    Wishes
