Wedding Easel Card

Hello Everyone!
Was on a blogging break during the summer. Seemed like I was just busy all the time and I was working on several quilt projects too. So here I am back with cards that I have been making over the last few months. This is a wedding card I made for my bestie Sandie.

I stamped flowers and fussy cut, made lots of die cuts, used gold embossing powder, and gold papers to put together this elegant easel wedding card.
The gold sealing was piece on the envelope came from the wedding invitation.

So glad to be back and blogging. I still have lots of yard work to do for the end of the season, but I will have more time to post photos and write a few lines. Thanks for stopping by today and see you next time!!

Sweet Bunny Fun Fold Card For Second Birthday

Hello Everyone,
I found a really cool fun fold design in a magazine and used that to make this sweet bunny birthday card.

You can see the folds in this picture.  This design is a cross between an easel and a step card.

The bunny stamp is from Stampin' Up and colored with copic markers.
I also added some die cut balloons.  Turned out pretty cute for a little cutie who turned two last month.

So glad you stopped by today.  Hope your day is so nice that you have plenty of time to make cards!

Fairy Themed Birthday Card

Hello All,
Stopping in to share a cute Birthday card perfect for a child.  This card was made for a sweet four year old.  Here favorite colors are pink  and purple.  Sooooo.....

I used an easel  design and added lots of detail.  The fairy image was colored with copic markers.   The card was also personalized with the child's name.

Second version using same stamp.  Also a birthday card for a sweet 5 year old.

Stamped five word stamps together to create this cute inside sentiment.

Very fun!!  Hope you are having a great day and I will see you again soon.

Easel Graduation Card

Hi Dreamers!
Hope you are having a great weekend!  We had some workers here putting in some new steps to the patio door.  I am really glad to have that done.

Do you have any grad parties this summer?  I seemed to have made lots of graduation cards this year.  I made this Graduation Card for my husband's cousin.  Well, actually, I made a total of four cards in this design.  Two were easels and the other regular cards.  My neighbor needed two grad cards and my friend needed one too---I sold those three and made one to send to our cousin.

Materials:
Stamps: Graduates from The Stamping Place; Sentiment from DRS Designs
Decorative Paper: K & Company
CS: Various shades of lavender and Purple
Markers
Label Die Cut: A Muse Studio
Sheer Peacock Blue Ribbon: Jo-Ann Fabric Store

Instructions:

  • Make an easel card from the dark purple CS
  • Add a layer of CS and  one of the DP
  • Stamp the image with black ink
  • Using the markers, watercolor the people
Here's how I watercolor with Markers:  Scribble the marker on an acrylic block and pick up the color with a slightly wet paint brush.   Fill the stamped area with color and pick up more water and color when the brush is dry.
  • Layer with dark purple CS and add to card

  • Tie a big bow in sheer ribbon and glue to top of card
  • Stamp the sentiment and die cut
  • Add to the bottom
  • Add a few pearls
  • Make the envelope pretty too by adding a piece of the DP to the flap

Guest Designing at Fussy and Fancy - Easel Card

Hi Dreamers,
The lovely Designers over at Fussy Fancy Challenge Blog invited me to Guest Design for their Easel Card challenge!!!  Isn't that great!!??  I made an Easel card that uses a 4 1/4 x 11' piece of card stock.  This size base makes a nice sized card that will still fit into a regular A2 size envelope.

This is a large stamp (3 1/2 x 4 1/2") called Rebecca's Rose from Stampland.  I added a little bit of watercolored ink to the stamped image.  Here the side view.

I added a wide wired green ribbon bow with a paper flower glued to the knot of the bow.

The sentiment stamped on the flat area is from Sweet N' Sassy stamps.  I used a brush loaded with ink to make the border around the sentiment.

Pop over and say hi to everyone over at Fussy and Fancy.  Make your own easel card and link it up while you are there!!

How about a few fun challenges for my Easel card!!
Fab and Funky: vintage
Craft room door: anything goes
Pile it on: vintage/shabby chic
Tuesday Alchemy: anything goes
Crafty Catz Weekly: Easel card

Glad you stopped by!!  Hope you are having a great day!! Love ya.
