Humming Bird Birthday Card

Hi Everyone,
I have a birthday card today to show you. My brother asked me to make him a year's worth of birthday cards. He is tired of going to "the card store" and not finding really beautiful cards. He likes my cards better. I have such a sweet brother. Anyways, he asked me if I would make him some cards. This is the first one. I have about 12 more to do. It will be a challenge for me because he needs lots of "guy" cards. So, I have to put away the pink CS and glitter. LOL. (This card is very girlie though isn't it?)
All the stamps are from Stampin' Up. CS: Blush Blossom - SU. Inks: Basic Grey, Blushing Bride, Regal Rose, and Pretty ink Pink. The DP is from Daisy D's. I stamped each element in a different color ink. I cut out one bird and one flower to add some dimension. Here is a detail photo of the stamping.

Challenges for Hummingbird Card:

Mark's Finest Papers: Recipe -use only paper, ink, and stamps - no embellishments. Tough one for me - the ribbon queen!!

Sentimental Sundays: anything goes + sentiment

Whoopsy Daisy: things with wings

Allsorts Challenge: use a least 3 different stamps - I used 6 different stamps

See you soon with more more cards!! Love ya.

  2. Wow, Karen, a very cool and beautiful background technique! I could see a guy getting this. It has browns and not a lot of bling. I think it would pass nicely~
