Snowmen in July??!!

Hi Dreamers!
Boy, it sure is cold outside.....NOT.  Boiling hot here in good old Michigan. So, I thought I would make some chilly cards to take my mind off the heat.  I used two snowman stamps from Third Coast Rubber stamps.  My buddy, Leigh, has started a new Challenge blog for Third Coast Rubber.  Why not go over and check it out?  And, say hi to Leigh...she is so sweet...and talented.  It is all about Christmas in July...all over blog land.  I suppose some are thinking about their Christmas cards already.  It sure doesn't hurt to get a few done early.

The images are colored with Copic Markers.  I layered with Coral and Ruby Red  from Stampin' Up and green CS from American Crafts.  The Decorative Paper is from Basic Grey.  I added a fun polka dot ribbon and some brads.

On the second snowman, I repeated the reds and greens (this green is from SU).  .  I used the larger polka dot Basic Grey DP again and punched a decorative edge.  I used a coral ribbon and brad for accents.  The hat brim is colored with glitter glue (Stickles).

Poor little sad snowman...isn't he cute??!!

Challenges for Snowman Cupcake cards:
Third Coast Rubber: Christmas
Basic  Grey Challenges: favorite color combo--red and green for Christmas of course.
Holly Jolly Christmas: Acrostic using the work Christmas=I used S-Snowman, C-cupcake, H-hats, R-red and ribbon,etc...
52 Christmas Card Throwdown : anything goes + Christmas
Do You Stack Up: Red
Paper Take weekly: anything goes with glitter

Oh, I guess that is all for me today.  I will be back tomorrow with a Steampunk Tag.  Have a great evening!  Love ya.
Karen

  2. Poor melted snowman...I feel just like him! It's boiling here in NJ too. Just so darned tired of this intense, baking heat, with no rain in sight. :( How's your garden, Karen?

  5. Karen these are fabby cards, I adore those cupcake snowmen! I have to say I could eat the smiley one but I think I'd have to pass on the sad faced snowman, I couldn't add to his troubles by biting his head off!
The polka dots add a dash of seasonal joy!
