Hi Everyone,
I am officially done with Christmas cards. I still have a few to get to the Post Office, but they are all addressed and ready to go out today. I ended up making about 70 cards. So, as you can image, I am ready for a different theme other than Christmas. Let's change it up today with a card for the
Stampsmith Design Blog. And of course I have used a stamp from
The Stampsmith. This stamp is from the Audrey Hepburn Full Sheet. I went all purple and lavender with this card.
I stamped the image on glossy white CS with black dye ink. I paper pieced the coat by stamping a second image on lavender CS and cutting out. The card base is made from Lavender Lace CS from
Stampin' Up. DP:dark purple from Basic Grey, metallic paper was hand made - I picked it up somewhere. I added a stamped and embossed flower accent (stamp from
SU, metallic ink from Color Box). I added color to the flower with Mulled Lavender Distress Ink (Ranger) - emboss resist technique. I added some gold Perfect Pearls (Ranger) to the swirl paper. I used a piece of tulle and a glittery ribbon to finish it off. Here are some more views.
You can really see the paper piecing in this shot. Pretty cool, isn't it?
And one more for good measure.

Hubby Update: Don did not have a good weekend. He was not able to go to work yesterday. He is still sleeping today. (It is early.) Have to see how he feels today. He was just feeling rotten all day Sunday and Monday. Side effect of the Radiation and Chemo. So, I humbly ask for your prayers again. He has been hoping that he would be able to work a couple days a week until the end of next week . Thanks everyone!
Love ya,
Karen
