Paper Girls Challenge - Guest Designing!

Hello Everyone,
Thanks for stopping by for my second post as Guest Designer on the Paper Girls Challenge Blog!  The Girls have a super fun challenge theme for us!!

Forever in Blue Jeans

I decided to use denim colored felt and denim ribbon for my GD project.  I put together some party favors with felt die cut flower embellishments.

Materials List:
"For you" stamp
Navy Dye Ink
2 Sided DP
Dies: Bag - Stampin' Up; French Fry Box - Amuse Studios; flower - Sizzix
Tag Punch -Stampin' Up
Felt
Large brads
Denim ribbon
Fabri-Tac glue
Tissue Paper
Lollipop Sticks (candy making aisle of craft store)

Instructions:

  • Die cut the bag and french fry boxes from 2 sided DP ( I used 2 sided so that the favors look pretty on the inside too)
  • Die Cut the flowers from felt and stack
  • Use a few drops of glue to hold each flower layer together
  • Add the brad to the center of the flowers

  • Tie denim ribbon in bow and glue to flowers
  • Attach to bag and boxes with glue

  • Stamp and punch the sentiment
  • Glue sentiment to lollipop sticks
  • Fill the bag and boxes with treats wrapped in blue tissue paper
  • Place the sentiment sticks in each favor (you could also stamp names on the sentiment sticks)

Super cute little treat holders for any party or occasion.  I would fill these with candy, nuts or even a small gift.  The flowers could be reused too.  I may even glue a jewelry pin on the back so the flower could be a little gift in itself.

See you next time!!

Guest Designing - Paper Girls Challenge

Hello Everyone!
Welcome to Dreaming and Creating!  Today I am Guest Designing for The Paper Girls Challenge Blog!!  The Girls have a fun challenge theme!  The theme for the next two weeks is:

BABIES

For my project, I made a sweet welcome baby card.  I stamped on  mixed media paper and watercolored with dye inks.  I thought the nest stamp would look cute with a tree background of some kind.   I decided on a tree trunk embossing folder.

Materials List:
Stamps: Pink Cat Studios
Ink: Stazon Jet Black; dye inks for water coloring
Paper: Strathmore Mixed Media Pad
CS: Almost Amethyst and Certainly Celery from Stampin’ Up
Embossing Folder: Tim Holtz
Ribbon and Pearls

Paint brush

Instructions:

  • Make a card from Amethyst CS
  • Dry emboss celery CS and add to the card base
  • Stamp the birds on Mixed Media paper with Stazon ink
  • Water color with a brush and dye inks -  get the brush slightly wet in water and pick up the ink
  • Add to card front
  • Tie ribbon in bow and glue to card
  • Add Pearls

Isn't this sweet!  Love how the tree embossing looks in the background.  Stop over to the Paper Girls Challenge blog and check out the other Design Team projects and link up a card of your own!  So glad you stopped by!!
