Ink Pad Background Part 2

Hello Crafty Friends,
Today, I have the second part of the cards I made using a Kaleidacolor ink pad to create a background.
The background pieces were  made by pressing the CS into a kaleidacolor ink pad.  The pad was in the position where the pads are slightly apart.  This is the position the pads are in for storage.  Part one can be viewed here. 

Try this!  It is very simple and can be used for any type of project.  Hope you enjoyed the cards!

Fall is upon us again.  Today, I will be out side digging up the dahlia and cana lilies for storage until spring.  I have an order of bulbs coming next week.  So, I will have plenty of blooms for early spring.  What are you planning in your garden this fall??  Let me know.  Have a super day!!

Ink Pad Background

Hello Everyone!

I am back after a short blogging break.  I have lots of fun stuff to share with you.  Today, I have a group of cards made with background pieces made by pressing the CS into a kaleidacolor ink pad.  The pad was in the position where the pads are slightly apart.  This is the position the pads are in for storage.    I think this was a very easy technique and really made a fun background.  I made two colors ways and will show the second color in my next post.

A paper doily, ribbon,  and die cut birds (Stampin' Up) were used to complete the composition.

Spring Colors on Stamped Backgrounds

Hi Dreamers!
Well, we had Spring here in Michigan for a few days and then we had snow on Monday!!  Just can't believe that we had snow in the middle of April.   We are supposed to warm back up tomorrow.  Crazy weather.  And, that is why I haven't posted any pictures of the garden yet this year.  There is nothing to photograph except lots of dead stuff that I did not cut down in the Fall.  Well, enough of that---let's get to the cards!!

I picked up some new things from Stampin' Up this month.  The stamps I used to make the background are all in one set called Petal Parade.  This is a fun set -- once you get stamping you can't stop.  I couldn't anyway.   I made three cards with my stamped backgrounds.

Materials:

Stamps: Petal Parade and Banner Blast from Stampin' Up; Large Sentiment from A Muse Studios

Inks: Distress Inks - Aged Mahogany, Victorian Velvet, Tattered Roses

CS: cream, yellow, wine, light coral

Edge punch, Decorative Label Punch, and Banner Punch - Stampin' Up

Large Scallop edge die cut - My Favorite things

Ribbons

Dry Embossing Folders - Cuttlebug and Stampin' Up

• I stamped the entire background on this card. 
• Wrap the ribbon around the edge of the stamped background piece ( layer ribbon with a strip of wine CS) and then add Background to the card base

• On this card, I added dry embossing, a punched edge and some banner flags.
• Wrap the ribbon around flat and tie a separate bow.
• Tuck the banner pieces up under the punched edge

• On this card, I placed the banners in a shape that I thought resembled a flower.

Stamping Backgrounds!

Hi Dreamers!
Well, my husband went back to work today after being off for 10 weeks!  I haven't heard from him yet to see how it is going...well, I hope!
So, since I have the computer all to myself today, I spent the morning editing photos and adding some things to my Pinterest page.  I don't have a finished card to show you today, but I do have a whole bunch of backgrounds I made!!  You know how much I love making my own backgrounds!!
The backgrounds are made by stamping extra large stamps on white and cream CS with pigment inks.  Here we go!

Group One

Materials:

The Typed Script stamp is from AMuse Studios.  All the others on all the samples are Impression Obsession Cover-A-Cards stamps.

Inks: I used pigment inks on all samples except the Typed Script--where I used black dye ink.

Now I have a whole bunch of fun backgrounds to use for cards and other projects!  I made stamp directly onto some and cut up some for layering pieces.  The sky is the limit!  Hope you enjoyed "Background" Day here in Dreamland.  I will be back tomorrow with a finished project using one of the background pieces!  See you then.  Love ya.
