Thanksgiving Goodie Bag and Card

Hi Everyone,
I have more Thanksgiving projects today. This one is a goodie bag and card. I will fill the bag with baked goods and deliver it to my neighbor, Del. I just used a purchased gift bag and decorated it.

Here is the card by itself.

The card sits in a vellum pocket on the front of the bag. I used a Stampsmith stamp for the main image. It is a Paris scenic image form the Paris Full Sheet which I stamped with a Kaleidacolor pad and covered with UTEE. I sliced the image into 3 equal pieces and layered. I used a Stampin' Up leaf stamp to make the background. The leaves were stamped in Always Artichoke, Really Rust, More Mustard, and Ruby Re (SU). Card stock is Always Artichoke, Really Rust, Barely Banana (SU) and glossy white. The DP on the bag is Green flocked from Me and My Big Ideas. Here are some close ups.

On the inside I added Thanksgiving Sentiments from Stampin' Up.

Challenges for this project:

Crazy Challenges: Thank you or Thanksgiving

Critter Challenge blog: Texture

Shabby Tea Room: Photo and Thankful

Paper take Weekly: Autumn Skies

Anything challenge: Emboss It-I heat embossed with UTEE

A Spoonfull of Sugar: Distressing or Vintage Style

Have a great day!

New Game at Stamping Vacation

Hi Kids,
How about a new game? Stamping Vacation has come up with a new card making game called Inspiration Tag.
Here is how it works:
Check out my card below and pick 2 or 3 elements that you would like to duplicate on a card you will make. Make your card and post it to your own blog along with these instructions. Then go to Stamping Vacation and post a link to your card on the post. Then from your blog your readers will pick 2 or 3 elements from YOUR card and make their own and post it to their blog and then go to Stamping Vacation and post a link there as well. And so on and so on..... On December 5th a name will be randomly drawn from all the links for Inspiration Tag at Stamping Vacation and the winner will receive a $25.00 gift certificate to the store of their choice! Sounds like fun, doesn't it??!!

I am continuing to make Thanksgiving cards. I have another one today.

I used Artist Outpost stamps for this card. The turkey time stamp is from Studio G. I stamped the images with a Kaliedacolor ink pad. CS is Chocolate Chip from Stampin' Up, and kraft. The DP is from K & Company. I added an orange ribbon. For the Inspiration Tag game you could use any of the following elements: Color Scheme, rustic style, scenic stamp, Thanksgiving, Speciality inks, time theme, masking (I used this on the pocket watch stamp), or using ribbon.

I added a Thanksgiving sentiment on the inside (SU). The Happy Thanksgiving stamp is from My Sentiments Exactly.

Play along and create your own card using a couple elements from this card. Don't forget to link it up over at Stamping Vacation. Have fun!!

Stampsmith Challenge 4

Hi Everyone,
I'm back with the Stampsmith Challenge blog Challenge #4. I got to pick the theme for Challenge #4. And, in honor of Thanksgiving, the theme for this challenge is:
Thank you, Thanks, or Thankful.
So, you must use a Thank you, thanks, or thankful sentiment on your project. You must also use at least one Stampsmith Stamp for this challenge.
You can make any type of project from 3-D to cards. You will have until November 30th to complete your project and link it up here. And, of course, there is a fabulous prize. One person will be selected at random for a gift certificate to the Stampsmith Shop. I will also be selecting the three Highlights from this challenge. The winner and Highlights will be announced on December 1st. This will be the last challenge before we take our Christmas break. After Christmas we will be back on January 1st with a new challenge.
Click over to the Challenge site and see the Highlights of Challenge #3 and the winner of the gift certificate. And, take a look at the Design Team's Challenge #4 projects to get your creative juices flowing.
Here is my Thankful card

I used Coffee Gal stamp from The Stampsmith Shop. The Sentiment and the background stamp are from Stampin' Up.

CS: Sage Shadow, Barely Banana, Marina Mist (SU); Glossy White

DP: Basic Grey and Provo Craft

Ink:Marina Blue, Barely Banana (SU)

Pigment Ink: Not Quite Navy (SU).

I started out by stamping the tiny flower on the Marina Mist CS. I die cut a scallop circle from Sage Shadow and dry embossed. I used two Spellbinders to make the frame. And the leaves are die cut. I stamped the sentiment in pigment ink and embossed. Here are some detail shots.

And, on the inside, I added a Thanksgiving sentiment.

This card will go out in the mail for someone on Thanksgiving. Hope everyone is having a great day.

Thanksgiving Card

Hi Everyone,
I have a cute little Thanksgiving card today. I used a DeNami stamp. so not really a traditional Thanksgiving image, but with fall colors, I think it works.

I die cut the big circle and dry embossed it. Then I added a brown polka dot ribbon. So, nice and quick. Here is a detail shot.

This card is entered in the following Challenges:

DeNami: color - Cream, Pumpkin, Brown, Green, Kraft.

Lili of the Valley: anything goes

Aud Sentiments: Thanksgiving

Very Vintage At Stamping Vacation

Hi Everyone,
It is Very Vintage Challenge time at The Stamping Vacation Challenge blog. I love vintage. My Design Team card for this month's Very Vintage challenge features stamps from our November sponsor Mark's Finest Papers. The Theme is:

Anything with the colors Rose, Moss and/or Cream
Here is what I came up with.

I stamped the Mum (on Kraft CS) using pigment inks: Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke from Stampin' Up. Embossed with clear embossing powder. I used a Spellbinders die to cut and used it as a stencil to add the rose colored ink (Fired Brick from Ranger) in the beaded oval area. I added a little more color to the mum with some chalks. The rose CS is from Brazzill. I added some lace and ribbon. I made another one of my ribbon do-dads and added a pearl in the center. To see instructions for making do-dads go here. I distressed the edges with Very Vanilla pigment ink (SU). Here is a close up so you can see the beautiful detail in this stamp.

And another close to see the ribbon and do-dad.

I can't wait to see what you come up with. Link your project on the Stamping Vacation blog and you will be entered into the monthly drawing.

Color Combo Stamping Vacation Challenge

Hi Everyone,
Saturday is Color Combo time again over at the Stamping Vacation Challenge Blog. (I am posting this a bit early cause I will be a bit busy this weekend.) This month the Combo is:

Hunter Green and Rust

I have used stamps from our Fabulous Sponsor this month: Mark's Finest Papers. This set is called Thankful Mums and Pumpkins. I made two Design Team cards for this challenge. I wanted to show that just using a different coloring medium will give very different results from the same image. On the first card, the pumpkins are colored with Copics. And, I also made my own background paper by stamping the small maple leaf (also in the set) on Real Rust cs (Stampin' Up). I added a strip of Handsome Hunter CS (SU) and a green ribbon.

And, here is a detail shot.

On the second card, I colored the pumpkins with Distress inks and a wet brush. I also used a Spellbinders die. The DP is from Provo Craft. The Sentiment is also in the same stamp set. I added a ribbon and some pearl stickers.

And here is a close up of the water coloring.

These two cards are going out to friends or family for Thanksgiving. Make your project and link it up at Stamping Vacation to be entered in the monthly drawing. The prize is FOUR Mark's Finest Stamp sets and a gift certificate. What could be better than that??

Fun Challenges for My Thankful Pumpkins.

Dutch Dare: Clean and Simple

Shirleys 2 girls: Use a Thank you sentiment

Sisterhood of Crafters: Fall card with leaves

My Time To Craft: Quick and Cute

Tuesday Throwdown: Thanksgiving Card

Off the Wall Craftiness:Color inspiration

Stampsmith Challenge Blog Ovalicious

Hi Everyone,
I am the hostess for the Third challenge at the Stampsmith Challenge Blog. And that means I got to select the theme. I thought it would be jun to challenge you with a shape theme.
Challenge #3 is to Use one or more ovals on your project.
Here are a few ideas to get you started: oval die cuts, punches, oval shaped stamps, or decorative paper with ovals. You do not have to use Stampsmith Stamps for this challenge. But, if you have them, we would love to see you use them. You can make any type of project from 3-D to cards. You will have until November 14th to complete your project and link it up here. And, of course, there is a fabulous prize. One person will be selected at random for a gift certificate to the Stampsmith Shop. I will also be selecting the three Highlights from this challenge. The winner and Highlights will be announced on November 15th. Well, ladies and gentlemen, get busy and show us your Ovals. Have fun! We can’t wait to see what beauties you come up with.
Fore more inspiration check out the Design Teams' projects. Here is my card.

I used an image from the Audrey Hepburn Full Sheet available at the Stampsmith Shop. Cs: Bermuda Bay from Stampin' Up and glossy white. DP: SEI and K & Company. To make the ribbon ruffle, run hand stitches down the center of the ribbon and pull to gather. I glued it onto the card with Fabri-Tac. Oval Shapes: Spellbinders Beaded Oval small, and Sizzix Frame Scallop Oval. Ink: Tuxedo black from Memento and Bermuda Bay from SU.
Detail shots:

This card is going to a dear Friend who will be turning 50 this month. (Hope she doesn't see this post) So, I added a humorous sentiment from Victorine Originals on the inside.

Hope this inspires you to get out any oval items in your stash and join in on the challenge fun!
