Bridal Shower Favor and Thank You Cards--And the Garden

Hello Dreamers!
The bridal shower was Sunday.  Everything turned out great and we all had a nice time.  I thought I would show you the favors I made.  I also made 35 thank you cards for the bride to send out to the guests.

Anita, my brother's girlfriend and I spent all day Friday making the cake pops.  We wrapped them in the cello bags tied with ribbon.  I added a die cut tag stamped with an umbrella and "thank you".  Each guest received one as they were leaving.

I made the Thank you cards to coordinate with the favors.

*************A few fun Challenges for my Bridal Shower Favor and Thank You cards:
Sentimental Sundays: anything goes
ABC: M is for monochromatic
Card and Scrap: clean and simple
Sparkles forum: for a special lady or mom
All Sorts: one layer card
Crafting from the Heart: anything goes
Crafting Desert Divas: use your favorite color---I used primary red.
Stamp and Create: thank you

I was out in the garden with the camera the other day....... I could not resist capturing a few things!!  The peonies don't last very long, but they are so beautiful.

 Hardy Geraniums

New planter boxes filled with veggies

Irises

Petunias

Poppy

Just love how the garden changes every day!  The vegetable plants are starting to take off, the lettuces are sprouted and growing, and the lilies will be blooming soon.    I will share more photos throughout summer.
I hope you are having a great Monday!  See you next time.  Love ya.

Early Spring in the Garden and Some Cards Too

Hi Dreamers!
Not a lot going on in the garden.  We had a  really long winter and everything is about a month behind.  But, here are a few photos of the garden.  I added some cards at the end of the post too.

I planted these two Japanese Maples last summer and I was so glad to see that they made it through the tough winter.

Forget Me Nots

Grape Hyacinths: usually gone by this time of year, but since Spring was so late, they can be found next to the Hardy Geraniums.

The daffodils are always done by the time the Corydalis is out.  But because of the late Spring, we see them here together.

My rain barrel

Lily of the Valley

I don't remember planting this.  LOL   But, it is very pretty.  I think it may be some kind of Phlox.

***************************************************
Well, I suppose you need a card too.  Okay, I'll add a card too.

I stamped on tissue paper with Stazon ink and colored with a marker.  The CS is from A Muse Studios.  I sent some of these to Operation Write Home and some to Card Care Connection.
Instructions:

  •  I laid out a piece of white tissue paper and stamped the bamboo leaf ( Stampin' Up) repeatedly.
  • Once I colored with the marker, I cut the tissue into squares.
  • Glue the tissue to white CS

*********A few Fun Challenges for my tissue cards!
ABC Challenge: L is for lots of layers
Stamped Blessings: flowers

Don't forget the Memorial Day blog Hop this Saturday with Operation Write Home!!! I hope to see you then.  Have a great day!!  Love ya.

My Garden -- End of Summer

Hi Dreamers!
I am taking Dreamland outside today into my garden.  We are reaching the end of summer here in Michigan, USA.  Many of the flowers are passed their prime, but some are at their height now.  The dahlias and zinnias are really looking good!  I was out in the garden with my camera and shot some pics.  Some were shot in the afternoon and the others is the early evening around 6 or 7 pm.  When I am not in my studio making cards, I like to get out in the garden and make it pretty!

So here is what my garden looks like at the end of summer.  Enjoy!

Giant Zinnias (four feet tall)

Tall Dahlias (5 feet tall)

Brown eyed Susans

Coleus (an annual), cornflower and hydrangea

Gladiolus

Begonia (an annual)

Hardy Geranium ( Cranes Bill)

Hostas blossoms

Krossa Regal ( in shade)

Krossa Regals (in part sun)

Guacamole Hosta

Variety of Hostas ( This is in the bed that had to be replanted after the tree removal in June.  It will look better next year.)

Green overload??  If you are going through card withdrawal,  I will be back next time with a few cards.  LOL  I am working on that order for a customer, so I can get a few of those photographed.  See you later!!!  Hope you day is going well!  Love ya.

Hello Dreamers,
I just had to share these photos I snapped today of my little bit of heaven--aka my garden.  I took the photos around 11:00 in the morning and the sun was almost directly overhead.  Enjoy!

See you tomorrow when we will get crafty with some ribbon projects!  See you then.  Love ya.
