Fairy Wall Hanging in Yellow and Navy

Hi Dreamers!
Another fine Sunday here in Michigan.  A little rain, but we sure need it.  I pulled out a Third Coast Rubber stamp for this project.  The stamp (Fairy and Lily Collage  JB-092-T)  is fairly large, so I decided to make a small wall hanging that measures 7 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches.

The image is stamped with Archival Ink- Cobalt on Barely Banana CS and I made the  base from Night of Navy (Stampin' Up).   The main image is mounted on yellow DP (all from K & Company).  I cut half inch strips of different papers and did a bit of weaving in the upper left corner.

I added some large gems and a textured ribbon.

The lower section of the card seemed imbalanced, so I added a large rhinestone flourish (Zva) and that was just perfect to balance everything.  I added some ribbon loops and a piece of some kind of wood that was in one of my drawers (not really sure where it came from, but it was perfect for this project).  I ran a Scattered straw Distress ink pad across the piece of wood to give more of a yellow cast.

And now, some fun Challenges for my Fairy Wall Hanging.
Third Coast: Anything goes and use yellow
The Secret Crafter Saturday: make a gift
Dutch Dare: anything but a card
Sugar Creek hollow: use something new-rhinestone flourish and something old- the piece of wood
Through the Craft Room Door: white and 2 other colors---yellow and navy
Clearly I stamp: wings
That Craft Place Blog: wings

The sun is out now!  I may be back later today with some more "things".  I just have been so busy making "things" and I want to share them all with you!!  So, I might see you later.  If not have a serene Sunday.  Love ya.
Karen
