Christmas in July with Technique Junkies Part 3

Hello Everyone,
Today is my third post for the Christmas in July challenge with Technique Junkies.  All the projects are on the Facebook group page.  My card uses a lighthearted stamp and traditional Christmas colors: red and green.

Stamps:
Christmas Mug Shot  #SD732
Wrought Iron Panel

I stamped the cat with black ink and wrought iron panel with red.  Added a few layers and some ribbon to complete.

Pretty funny!   So glad you stopped by.  See you next time.  Have a great day.

Butterfly Cut Outs

Hello Friends,
I have two cards to share today.  Both feature butterfly die cuts.

Firstly,  layer the small rectangle of decorative paper with the coordinating CS.  Then die cut the butterflies.  Complete the card by covering card base with a second decorative paper.  Add the piece with the butterfly die cuts, add pearls and ribbon. Done.  This is a great design to show off all those pretty decorative papers we all have.

This card is slightly different: used a larger butterfly and different papers.

Great for any occasion.  This could even be used for a sympathy card.

So glad you stopped by today.  Hope you are having a nice day and some card making was on your schedule today.

Floral Quick Card

Hello Everyone!
Today, I wanted to share this quick floral card.

Stamp with black pigment ink and heat emboss with black powder on watercolor paper.  Watercolor the flowers and stems.  You can be messy, it adds to the charm.  I used a wet brush and picked up ink to do the watercoloring.

Just added one layer of green on a white card base.  Nice CAS card.

See you next time.

Near the Sea

Hello Everyone!
It is Summer!!  Plenty hot here in Michigan, USA. 90 degrees today.  I did quite a bit of yard work today.  Now, I am inside with the air conditioning and having fun making cards.  Today, I made a Summer theme card for the

This card is for week three and the theme is anything and everything Summer.
Technique Junkies stamps must be used on the projects.

This sweet girl is spending time on the beach and forgetting all her troubles.
I used a color pallet the says sand and sea to me: White, blue, and coral pink.

Stamps used:
Beach Girl SD103
By the Sea  (set of six) SS060
Bold Shells S687

To make card:
1)  Stamp Beach Girl on glossy white CS ( this stamp has a lot of detail and this        is how I obtained the best impression).  I stamped with Black Soot Distress          ink.  This ink worked well because it is a very wet ink.  Just make sure to let        the ink dry before handling the piece.
2)  Die cut image.

3)  Make a card base from lite blue CS and layer with coral pink CS.
4)  Stamp the sentiment onto the coral pink CS with Black Soot ink.
5)  Make the shell background by stamping Bold Shells on blackboard CS with          Versa Magic ink, Cloud White.  Make sure ink is completely dry before                handling.
6)   Layer all pieces and add blue tulle and pink ribbon

This image really make me long for about a week at the seaside.  All that fresh air......Oh how dreamy.

So glad you stopped by today.  Happy Summer!!
