You should have traveled here from Pam Wendt's Blog and enjoyed her Lovely project.  If you just wandered in, you can start at the top by clicking over to  the DeNami Blog.

For my project, I choose to use a stamp from the Mimi Boutique.  Mimi is one of my favorite categories of DeNami Stamps.  They are just sooo cute and great for coloring or paper piecing.   I used "Mimi In The Rain" and added....you guessed it.  Lots of Lovely Layers.  (This is a long, tall card measuring 7 1/4" x 4 1/4".)

Mimi's umbrella, coat, skirt, and boots are paper pieced.  The rest of the image was colored with markers.  I die cut the image and the next layer with Spellbinders.  The DP is Basic Grey.  CS: Pale Plum and Chocolate Chip from Stampin' Up.

For accents, I added a purple and green polka dot ribbon and some lavender rhinestones.

And, I thought you might like a peek at the inside.  The sentiment on the inside is from DRS Designs.  I think this sentiment fits so well with Mimi in the Rain.

Your next destination is Kristy Smith's Blog and her Lovely project.  To be eligible for the Prizes, don't forget to leave a comment here before you journey on.  Have fun hopping!  Thanks for stopping by!!  Love ya.

Blockheads New Release Part 6 -Birdcages

Hi Everyone,
More Blockheads New Release projects today!  I have used the Victorian Eccentricities Set.  I have three cards that use the Flourish Birdcage stamp that is also available as a single.

I decided that I would make a gift set.  So, I made three all occasion cards that can be bundled with some pretty envelopes and tied with a ribbon.  I changed out the colors and sentiments on each card.  Let's get started with the "Love" card.

The Birdcage was stamped on a dotted DP from K & Company with Vintage Sepia Versafine ink.  The Love sentiment is also from Blockheads and can be found in the Special Delivery Set.   I added a sheer blue ribbon to finish it off.  Here is a close up.

Next is a Thank you card.  The Flourish Birdcage is stamped on Peach CS with Vintage Sepia and distressed with Ranger Inks: Tea Dye and Vintage Photo.

The image was layered with brown and rust CS.  The Thank sentiment is from the Special Delivery set.  Here is a close up.

And, a little peek at the inside.   I used the sentiment form the Painted Butterflies Set.

The third and last card is a Friend card and uses another Sentiment from the  Special Delivery Set.  I stamped on striped DP with Vintage Sepia ink.  The center piece was layered with amethyst and blue CS.

I added some tulle and a big antique brad on the left side. And some little pearls on the opposite side.  And here is a close up of the tulle.

And one more view.

What a versatile stamp.  I could make stacks of these cards!  I do need to make some more in fact.  Well, I will get to that later.

Now, how about a few Challenges for Flourish Birdcage Gift set:
By the Cute and Girly: things with wings
City Crafter: Birds and birdcages
Clear it Out: wings
Simon Says stamp and show: Flourish

That's all for today.  I will be back tomorrow with Something.  Love ya.

Impression Obsession "Hello" challenge and some Cards for OWH

Hello again!
Well, I decided to come back today and post a card for the Impression Obsession "Hello" Challenge.  This group of cards started out as a thank you card for my neighbor.  She brought over a big bag of stamping supplies for me.  There were all kinds of goodies in the bag.  Among the goodies was this really cool background stamp from Inkadinkado.  And, I have been wanting to try my new Ornate Dandelion (H2155) stamp from Impression Obsession.  So, I combined the two and made up about six of these cute cards.  One went to my neighbor, of course, and the rest will go in my box for Operation Write Home.  (Oh and I might keep one for a sample.)  Here is the Hello version.

I stamped the background stamp with Blushing Bride ink (Stampin' Up) and the Dandelion with Chocolate Chip ink (SU).  The Hello stamp is from Inkadinkado.  Here is a close up.

Fabulous image!!  I added  a sheer pink ribbon and some pick pearls for accents.  I loved how this turned out so I just kept stamping and stamping and stamping in different ink colors.  And here is what I ended up with.

I will show you individual photos of each card too.

Ink Colors: Bordering Blue (SU) for background and Danube Blue (Memento) for Dandelion.

Ink: Crushed Curry for background and Chocolate Chip for Dandelion (both SU).  For this example, I colored in the leaves with a green marker.

This is the one that went to my neighbor and friend, Del.  Ink; blushing Bride and Chocolate Chip (SU).

Inks: Crushed Curry (SU) and Black (Memento).  And here, the leaves were colored in with a green marker.

Ink: Bordering Blue (SU) and Black.

Aren't these fun cards?!!   I just love them.  They were pretty quick and easy too.  Now, I am done for the day.  See you later.  I will show you a  Steampunky style card that I made for my nephew's birthday later.  Love ya.

DeNami Rainbow Card

Hi and Happy Thursday!
DeNami is sponsoring the Rainbow Challenge over at the Embellish Magazine Blog.  So, I just had to join in.  I got out my DeNami Heart block stamp and a Kaleidacolor ink pad.  Here is my card.

I started with a piece of White CS.  I stamped the image with Creole Spice Kaleidacolor ink Pad from Tsukineko.   Next, I used a wet small brush to watercolor the insides of the hearts with the same ink colors.  Using stipple brushes, stipple the ink colors in diagonal pattern across the width of the CS.  Here is a close up. You can see the stippling in this photo.

To finish it off,  the stamped piece was layered with Night of Navy, Perfect Plum, and Handsome Hunter  (Stampin' Up).   I used a rainbow colored sheer ribbon that I tied in a bow.  Some sparkle was added with some Dimensional dot stickers (EK Sucess).

Okay, that's all for now.  I have some other things I will be showing you tomorrow.  Or maybe I will be back later today.  You have a great day!!!  Love ya.

Blockheads New Release Part 5-ATC's

Hi Everyone,
Here we are again today.  Hope your day is going well.  I am bringing you another installment of the Blockheads New Releases.  Here is the set I used for my ATC's (2 1/2 x 3 1/2") called Vintage Light and Form.

This is such a versatile set.  I just love all things sewing, so the Dress Dummy is one of my Fav's.  Each stamp is also available individually.    The first ATC uses, you guessed it, the Dress Dummy.   (See another card I made using the Dress Dummy here.)

The sentiment is from the Years Ago-ATC set.  This project is really so quick and easy.  I stamped on a peice of DP (Penny Black) that had a distressed type pattern.  The images are stamped in Tuxedo Black dye ink (Memento).    I layered the image onto  Black CS.  I colored in the flowers with Angel Pink marker (Memento).  I can make up a bunch of these and put all my info on the back and use for a calling card.    Here is a close up.

Don't you just love this stamp!!??  It is so uber cool.  And, here is the second ATC.

Same stamp set, Vintage Light and Form.  I colored in the lights with a yellow marker.  I inked up just the word "Light" with a marker and stamped onto the DP.  Here is a close up.

Such fun images.

How about a challenge or two?
ATC Challenge: anything goes and/or household items.
Craft Your Days Away: Vintage

Okay, I have to run.  Have a super great day and take some time to stamp!  Love ya.

Peacock All Occasion Cards

Hi Everyone,
Hope you had a great weekend!  Today, I have two fun Peacock cards for you.

This image is from Stamping Sensations and is something I picked up at a stamping convention last year.    It the was stamped in black ink and all the color is added with Distress inks applied with a Distressing tool. Then, I ran them through the Cuttlebug in an embossing folder.  Love this effect.

The DP on both cards is from K & Company.  The card base and layers is made from Not Quite Navy (Stampin' Up).  I added a bright yellow ribbon to this one.

The second card has a bright green ribbon and is made in the same manner.

How about a few fun Challenges?!
Simon Says Stamp: Lemon and Lavender
Sir Stampalot: Anything goes
Cheerful Stamp Pad: Favorite Background: using an embossing folder on an inked and colored image.
Bling It On: Anything goes
Paper Take Weekly: Anything goes

Well, I guess that's it for me today.  I have some submissions to get ready to go out this week.  How about a few more new releases from Blockheads for tomorrow?  Yes, that sounds good.  So, I will be back tomorrow with some cool ATC's using some of the Blockheads' New Releases.  Have a great day!  Love ya.

New Challenge Blog

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick post to let you know about a new Challenge blog run by some of my old Design Team mates from Stamping Vacation.  This new Challenge blog is called UnStampabelles.  Now, the different thing about this challenge blog is that the main challenge is to create paper craft projects WITHOUT stamping.  Sounds interesting, don't you think?!   They are offering some blog candy to spread the word about the new challenge blog.  The candy is a $15 gift certificate to the store of your choice.  And they have a cute badge too.

A great big Howdy to my blogging buddies Annmaree, Stacie, and Merry!!!  Hi Girls, I see you have been busy since Stamping Vacation went on hiatus.  Good luck with your new project!!  Love ya,
Karen
