Paper Scrap Bonanza Part Three

 Hello Everyone,

Part three of the paper scraps bonanza!  This is a great design for using up your scrap papers.

First two cards are very girly.  I even added lace to the first card.

The last two cards are more masculine.  I used blue and brown papers with metallic embellishments.

See you next time for two cards that use fabric.  Should be fun!

Paper scraps Bonanza Part Two

 Hello Lovely Crafters,

Back today with Part Two of Paper Scraps Bonanza!  Love this layout and designs.  You will find your scrap bag significantly diminished after making a stack of this design.

Todays cards is a mix of different occasions cards.

Birthday:  Cute cup cake stickers found at dollar store.   Used papers from a Kraft  stack on the next two cards.

Owls, Owls, and More Owls Part Two

Hi Dreamers!
Here I am back today with Part Two of my owls made with papers and CS from the good old scrap basket. I did not cut into any new sheets of paper or CS to make all the cute little owl cards.  I even ended up with a Christmas version  (my first Christmas card of the year!).

Materials:
Stamp: Owl from Hero Arts
Black Pigment Ink
Black Embossing Powder
Markers
Assorted DP's, CS, and ribbons
Punches and dies

Why don't we start with the Christmas version?!!  I used Cosmo Cricket Paper for the background.  I die cut and punched  two shades of yellow  and a dark green CS to make some layers for the little owl.  All the Owls are stamped with black pigment ink and heat embossed with black powder.

Embellishments: The holly dimensional stickers are from K & Company; glitter dots, red ribbon.  Sentiment on the outside: Victorian Originals.

This a gate fold card with gold Stickles here and there.  The DP is from Stampin' Up.

Inside when card is completely opened

Close up of inside.  Sentiment is from Sweet N Sassy

And, last but not least, this small Birthday card.  The bright yellow CS is dry embossed and I used some punched and die cut shapes to layer.  Sentiments are from Gina K Designs.

I already sent out the Gatefold card to my friend, Jan.  She loves owls, so I am pretty sure she will like this one!    The Christmas card will go in the Christmas card box.  Only 70 more to go.  LOL.

Challenges for my scrappy Owls:
Holly Jolly Christmas: glitter--card #1 uses glitter dots
Winter wonderland: cute Christmas
Paper Take Weekly: occasions
ABC Christmas: P is for----pretty paper, a pair of pre cut holly embellishments
Divas by Design: Christmas
Whimsical Designs: bingo---die cuts; free; stamps

Now, next time for sure, I will have a finished card made with my new stamped backgrounds!  Hope you are  having a great day!  I am off to get a mammogram today.   Love ya.

Owls, Owls, and More Owls Part One

Hi Dreamers!
Well, I did not finish the card using my new stamped backgrounds (from Monday's post).  I have been busy cleaning the house, baking, and ironing.   Lots of those kind of things that I got behind on while my husband was off sick.

So, I decided to share the Owl cards I made.  I mentioned the cards last week.  The cards were made using only my scrap basket and my stack of folded cards left over from other projects.  I think it is fun to challenge myself to use up some of my scraps.  I always find a small piece of a  favorite paper or CS color.  Fun!

Materials:
Stamp: Owl from Hero Arts
Black Pigment Ink
Black Embossing Powder
Markers
Assorted DP's, CS, and ribbons
Punches and dies

All the Owls are stamped with black pigment ink and heat embossed with black powder.  I used some hemp twine and DP from K & Company on this owl.  Just Because stamp is from AMuse Studios.

I used a white card base and Stampin' Up DP on the card below.

The Owl is colored with markers.

Repeat the paper on the inside.  This fun sentiment is from DRS Designs.

I think I could use this orange version for Halloween by simply adding a sentiment on the inside.  This orange polka dot paper is from AMuse Studios.  The Yellow DP is from Stampin' Up.

Challenges for my scrappy Owl cards:
Die cut Divas: orange and white---card #3
Oldie But a goodie: cards for boys---items used --all the papers and CS were in my scrap basket and some are 4 + years old

Craft Door Magazine: anything goes
ABC Challenge: stamps, ink, paper
C is for Challenge: fresh and bright
Crafting by Design: anything goes
Simon's Wednesday Challenge: monochromatic---card #2
Sisterhood of Crafters: scraps

Well, I made so many owls that I will have to break it down into two posts.  So, check back for part two!
Hope you are having a great day!!  Love ya.
