Love To Scrap Challenge #42- Say it in Color

Hello Everyone!
Time for  new challenge on the Love to Scrap Challenge Blog!!  We have a fun new theme for the next two weeks:

Say It In Color

Stamp, Print, or die cut a sentiment in any other color except black or white.
Make any project with some stamping on it and link up on the challenge blog.

For my design team project, I used a fun digi set from Stitchy Bear's Digi Outlet and made Thanksgiving cards to send to my family.  I made two versions using the same image. And to  "Say It In Color", I stamped my sentiment in different colors of ink.

CARD #1

Materials List:
Stamps: Turkey Talk digi set from Stitchy Bear's Digi Outlet; Alpha Dots from My Sentiments Exactly!
CS: Solar white Neenah; Orange, Ruby Red, and Pumpkin Pie from Stampin' Up
DP: Orange - Stampin' Up; Plaid - K & Company
Copic Markers
Dye Ink: orange and brown
Spellbinders dies- Circles and Rectangles
3/8" Circle Punch
Orange Ribbons
Liquid Pearls-white


 Instructions:

  • Make cards from orange and Ruby Red card stock 
  • Layer with DP's
  • Print out the turkeys on Solar White CS--Let the ink dry
  • Color images with Copic Markers
  • Die cut images with Spellbinders and add a layer beneath
  • Add to card with dimensional adhesive





  • Stamp the Alpha Dots to spell out the words "Turkey Time" 
  • Punch out each letter with the 3/8" circle punch--or cut by hand
  • Add to the card with dimensional adhesive
  • Add ribbon bows


CARD #2


  • Card #2 is made the same way
  • Add Liquid Pearls to the background paper






Really fun image!!  I stamped Happy Thanksgiving on the inside.  The cards will be sent out to my family.

Halloween Fun with Love to Scrap Challenge

I am continuing the Halloween theme this week with a fun card made with a digi from Dr. Digi.   I will be sending this card to my nephew and his lovely new wife.  I just love to send out the cards I make!  




Materials List:

Tag and Sentiment - A Muse Studios; Sentiment - My Sentiments Exactly (on inside of card)
CS: Solar white Neenah; Blue and Purple - Bazzill
DP: Authentic - Thrilling pad
Ink: plum - Memento
Distress Inks: Black Soot. Barn Red, Spiced Marmalade, Seedless Preserves
Copic Markers
Tile Works die - Spellbinders
Ticket die Cut - A Muse Studios
Starry Night Stickles
Purple and Orange ribbon



Instructions:

  • Make a large card from Purple CS ( 5.75 x 7 inches) 
  • Layer with light blue CS and polka dot DP
  • Print out the digi on Solar White CS and color with Copic markers
  • Die cut the image
  • Layer the different distress inks on the die cut piece
  • Add to card front


  • Add ribbons
  • Stamp the sentiment and ticket on white CS with plum ink and cut with die
  • Distress edges and add to card with dimensional adhesive
  • Add Stickles to blue CS


  • Decorate the inside

Sweet Bird Bath -Love to Scrap Challenge Blog

Hi Dreamers!
Had a fabulous time in Niagara Falls, Ontario last weekend.  The wedding was so pretty and everything was decorated so beautifully.  The bridal party were gorgeous.  I had so much fun hanging with my husband's cousins, aunt and uncle!  Great time.
Now, down to business.  Time for a new challenge on the Love to Scrap Challenge Blog!!  The new theme is:

For my design team project, I used a Taylored Expressions Petite stamp set with matching die called Splish Splash.  Take a look at this super cute set!!

Here is my card.  Well, one of the cards I made so far, with this awesomely cute set.  I will show you more of the cards this week.


Materials List:
Stamps: Splish Splash stamp and die set from Taylored Expressions
CS: Solar White Neenah; Bashful Blue and Marina Mist from Stampin' Up
Copic Markers
Dimensional Adhesive


 

Instructions:

  • Make a  3.75 x 4.50 card from Marina Mist CS
  • Layer with Bashful Blue CS
  • On the Solar White CS stamp the Bird Bath and flowers
  • Color with Copic Markers
  • Add to the card


  • Stamp the bird and bird bath on a separate piece of Solar White CS
  • Color with Copic Markers
  • Die cut both with the Splish Splash die
  • Add the bird bath and bird to card with dimensional adhesive

For my Design Team project, I used a toadly cute image from DRS Designs!!!  

I die cut strips of DP to simulate lily pads.  LOL.  Well, I think it looks like lily pads









Materials List:
Stamps: Frog on Log and Unfrogettable Birthday Sentiment from DRS Designs 
CS: White and Bright Green
Copic Markers
DP: Sweet Nectar Pad from K & Company
Large Octagon Dies - Spellbinders
Scallop Border Die - A Muse Studios
Velvet Ribbon
Clear Dot embellishments
Dimensional Adhesive





Instructions:
  • Make a square card from the bright green CS
  • Cut a Layer of the polka dot DP and wrap the ribbon around it
  • Add DP to card base
  • Die cut five strips with the Scallop edge die and glue to card front to make lily pads





  • Stamp the frog and color with Copic Markers
  • Die cut frog and a layer of bright green
  • Add to card with dimensional adhesive
  • Add the clear dot embellishments





  • Add papers to the inside 
  • Stamp the sentiment on white CS with black ink

For my design team project, I made a vintagey card with a travel theme.  I stamped on glossy CS and used lots of distress inks.





Materials List:
Stamps: Bicycle Collage and Enchante both from Hero Arts; Sentiments from Blockheads Stamps
CS:Glossy white and white
Ink: Vintage Sepia - Versa Fine; Yellow and Green dye inks
Distress Ink: Forest Moss, Mansard Seed, Vintage Photo- Ranger
Dies: Ticket - A Muse; File Folder Tab -- My Favorite Things
Ribbon
Pearls





Instructions:

  • Make a top fold card from Glossy white CS
  • Stamp the Bicycle Collage with Vintage Sepia
  • On White CS stamp the Enchant stamp three times with three different inks:  Yellow, green and Vintage Sepia
  • Die cut with the ticket die
  • Die cut the File Folder Tab





  • Distress all the die cuts and the card with the distress inks
  • Stamp the sentiment
  • Glue the die cuts pieces to the card






  • Add pearls to the card front along the edge of the collage stamp
  • Tie a knot in ribbon and wrap around card front

Steampunk Missy and Love To Scrap Challenge

Hello Everyone!
Time for a new challenge on the Love To Scrap Challenge Blog!!  We have a fun new theme that will get your wheels turning.....

For my design Team project, I used a super cute Steampunky image from Lacy Sunshine.  I added lots of circles to my card---of course!






Materials List:
Stamps: digi image Maddie Haddie Steampunk Secret Window from Lacy
 Sunshine

CS: Solar White Neenah; Rich Razzleberrry, Pixie Pink, and Med Pink from 
Stampin' Up; Black; Wine

Dye Ink: Melon Mambo- Stampin' Up

Distress Ink: Picked Raspberries

Copic Markers

Big Scallop Circles SM die from Spellbinders

Embossing Folders: Gears -Tim Holtz; Spots and Dots - Cuttlebug

Small Circle Punch

Scrap of White Lace Fabric

Scrap of black trim

Decorative Pearl trim

Chain (from a broken key chain)

Stick Pin

Wire

Dimensional Adhesive 

3 D Zots








Instructions:


  • Make a 5.75" square card from Wine CS and layer with Black CS
  • Dry emboss the Pixie pink and Med pink CS with the two embossing folders
  • Trim the Pixie Pink to a 1.5" strip
  • Apply distress ink to the raised areas of the dry embossing
  • Add both embossed pieces to the card front
  • Print the digi onto the Solar White CS
  • Make sure the ink is dry before coloring





  • Color the digi image with Copic Markers---Note: to make the red hair, I used R05 and R22
  • Die cut the image with the scallop circle die
  • Add  to the card front with 3D Zots






  • Add the embellishments: Gather a scrap piece of lace fabric with needle and thread, but before gluing it down, insert the stick pin into the top of the lace
  • Add the black lace scrap, pearl trim, and chain with a good glue--I used Fabri-Tac
  • Curl the wire around finger to create the curly q's and glue the wire to the card








  • Stamp the letters ( Alpha Dots from My Sentiments Exactly) to spell out "Mad Tea Party" with Melon Mambo Ink
  • Punch the letters with small circle punch




  • Add the letters with dimensional adhesive

For my Design Team Project, I used a Monochromatic in Shades of Blue color scheme.  I used CS and pretty papers all in shades of blue.  And, the coloring was done with Copics in blue shades.




Materials:
Stamp: Love Seat (176/311) digi from Stitchy Stamps at The Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet
CS: Medium blue and Light blue- Bazzill; Not Quite Navy - Stampin' Up; White
DP: Essentials Collection - Authentique
Copic Markers: all in blue shades
Ribbon: Marina Mist - Stampin' Up
Adorning Accents Edgelet Die cut - Stampin' Up
Big Scalloped Circles SM and Standard Circle Small - Spellbinders dies
Blue Pearls: Hero Arts





Instructions:

  • Make a card from the medium blue CS
  • Edge cut two piece of DP and add to layer of  Not Quite Navy
  • Wrap the ribbon around the CS and DP  and add to card front






  • Print the digital image onto white CS
  • Make sure the ink is dry before coloring
  • Color with Copic Markers
  • Die cut with circle die
  • Layer with light blue CS cut with Scallop Circle die
  • Add to card with dimensional adhesive
  • Tie  bow with the ribbon and glue to image
  • Add pearls






This is so cute.  I think I will use it as a love card.  But, it would be great for any kind of all occasion too....like friendship, thinking of you, etc.....

Love To Scrap Challenge # 33 - Anything Goes

A Day For Daisies


For my Design Team project, I used a pretty digi stamp from Eureka Stamps.   I did a bit of coloring and layered with pretty pastel colored cardstocks.






Materials List:
Stamp: Butterfly and Sunflower (20801) from Eureka Stamps
CS: White; Blushing Bride and Certainly Celery from Stampin' Up
Spellbinders Marvelous Squares die
Ribbon: Daffodil Delight Grosgrain from Stampin' Up
Markers: Marvy and Stampin' Up
Dimensional Adhesive
  







Instructions:
  • Make a 5.5" square card from the Certainly Celery CS
  • Layer with Blushing Bride CS
  • Print out three of the Butterfly and Sunflower images.  
  • Print one larger that the other two---Color the larger and cut out the butterflies on the two smaller images
  • Make sure the ink is completely dry before coloring the images






  • Color the large image and two butterflies with Markers
  • Cut out the two smaller butterflies
  • Use the die cut to cut out the larger image
  • Add the colored image to the card front with dimensional adhesive
  • Add the butterflies with dimensional adhesive
  • Tie a bow with the ribbon and add to card








This card could be used for any occasion.  I did actually use this particular card as a sympathy card.  I added appropriate sentiments to the inside and wrote a little note.
