Spooky Halloween Cars

 Hello everyone!

Time for Halloween!!  I used this die cut to make my Halloween cards this year.  The dies are from the Sunday Drive series from Spellbinders. This die has lots of pieces and I used a glue bottle with a very narrow cap called Beary Arts Precision Craft Glue. Putting the pieces together without this glue would have been quite difficult and messy.  Just takes a little patience and time.

The cards have a decorative paper background.  I added some trees made with a Stampin' Up die cut.

The moon is a punched circle distressed with distress ink. I used a foil paper with an adhesive backing to cut some of the bumpers.  Not sure where I got the foil paper.

The insides all look like this:

Here are the other versions I made:
I made the card bases and the cars in different colors.

So, as the card says, Be Spooky!!  Hope you Have a Happy Halloween!!

See you next time.

Fall Themed Cards made with Stickers Part 2

 Hello everyone!

Back today with the rest of the Fall themed cards I made with stickers. My BFF Jan gave me the stickers and I really thought they were cute.

Here are the cards:

The last two and a little more minimal.

I found the stickers fun to work with and it was something a little different to do.

I will be back next time with my Halloween cards.

See you then.

Fall Themed Cards made with Stickers Part 1

 Hello everyone!

I am back today with a collection of cards I made with stickers.  My BFF Jan gave me the stickers and I thought they were so cute that I wanted to make cards for Fall. Sometimes with stickers, it is easier to design a card around the sticker. Making the sticker a focal point instead of an embellishment seems to work better for me.  I made quite a few cards using all the stickers.  I will post them all today and in my next post.

On the inside of each card, I stamped "happy fall". Of course, I did not have a stamp that said Happy Fall!  I had to use two different stamps.  One with happy and one with Fall. Worked out fine.

See you next time with part two.

Girlie Graduation Card

Hello Crafty Friends,

I made this card for a friend who graduated from college.  Her degree is in commercial art.  So, I wanted to make an artsy card.  I may have gotten carried away with the bright pink ribbon.  Well, you can never have enough ribbon, can you?!
I used multimedia paper (Strathmore) to stamp on and colored with watercolor markers.

Very cheerful!  I love the gigantic pink ribbon!

Next time I will share a group of fall themed cards I made with stickers.

See you then.

Retirement Card with Car

 Hello everyone!

Check out this cute card I made to celebrate my brother's retirement.  I used a cool die cut car from Spellbinders.  This die has lots of pieces and I used a glue bottle with a very narrow cap called Beary Arts Precision Craft Glue. Putting the pieces together without this glue would have been quite difficult and messy. I also used this die for my Halloween cards.  Those cards will be coming up on my blog this Fall.

The clouds were punched with a punch from Stampin' Up.  I used a white glitter paper.

Inside of card:

So, I think this is a really cool card.  And it was fun to make. Just takes a little time to glue all the pieces together. I will be back next time with a graduation card with a great big pink bow.

See you then!!

Sympathy Peony Card

 Hello Everyone

Back to blogging after a break for the summer. I was a bit busy working in the garden.  Had to make some changes this year to cut down on the amount of work I would have to do. I had a large flower bed removed.  I did some of the work and hired out the biggest part. I actually like how the yard looks better without the bed.  I added some new Hydrangeas and moved a lot of things. So, all in all worked out really well.

So, now I have some free time!  I have been making lots of cards throughout the summer.  I have my fall and Halloween cards finished and I will be sharing them with you over the next few weeks.

But, today, I wanted to share a sympathy card made for friends.

I used a really pretty and ornate arched shaped die from Spellbinders.  I added a peony from Stampin' Up. The flower was colored with copic makers. I added a sheer silver ribbon.

Inside of card:

So glad you stopped by today. I will be back in the next post with a retirement card.

See you then.

Fairytale Wedding Card

 Hello Everyone!

Today, I would like to share a wedding second card I made using elements from the invitations.  The cards were made for my bff, Sandie. And it was her idea to use the bits and pieces from the invitations.  See the first card here.

Take a look at the card.

The shower invite had a castle and a fairytale theme.  So, I did just happen to have a cute castle stamp and die from My Favorite Things Stamps.  The wedding invite had printed flowers on a woodgrain paper. The flowers were blue and white.  I reproduced the look with a Stampin' Up stamp and die. The bottom corner of the wedding invite had a printed doily.  To reproduce that look I added a paper doily accented with a beaded bridal trim.

I also added bridal tulle and some single pearls on left side of the card.

Inside of the card. Another group of flowers and a fairytale theme sentiment were added to the inside.

The wedding is in two weeks.  Hopefully the bride and groom will love the personalized wedding card.

See you again soon!!
