Sympathy Peony Card

 Hello Everyone

Back to blogging after a break for the summer. I was a bit busy working in the garden.  Had to make some changes this year to cut down on the amount of work I would have to do. I had a large flower bed removed.  I did some of the work and hired out the biggest part. I actually like how the yard looks better without the bed.  I added some new Hydrangeas and moved a lot of things. So, all in all worked out really well.

So, now I have some free time!  I have been making lots of cards throughout the summer.  I have my fall and Halloween cards finished and I will be sharing them with you over the next few weeks.

But, today, I wanted to share a sympathy card made for friends.

I used a really pretty and ornate arched shaped die from Spellbinders.  I added a peony from Stampin' Up. The flower was colored with copic makers. I added a sheer silver ribbon.

Inside of card:

So glad you stopped by today. I will be back in the next post with a retirement card.

See you then.

Peony Floral Cards Part Four

Hello Everyone,

Back today with part four of the peony cards!

Stamp and die set: Prized Peony from Stampin' Up.  Spellbinders dies: large velum circle, oval and scalloped circle.

Flowers stamped with black ink and colored with copic markers.

So, that is all the peony cards!  I sure had a blast making those!!  Already sent some of those out to friends and family. When I need a card to send out, I just add an appropriate sentiment.  Works great for me because I always have a big stash of cards I can use for any occasion.

Peony Floral Cards Part Two

Hello Everyone,

Back today with Part Two of the peony cards!  I had a bunch of fun creating these floral cards!  "Bunch" of fun...get it.  A little pun there. LOL

This peony stamp is just awesome.  It looks great in any color of ink, colored or uncolored.  I literally could not stop stamping this image.  Really lets you get creative with color schemes and layouts.

Stamp and die set: Prized Peony from Stampin' Up.  Spellbinders dies; large velum circle on card one, Squares on last two cards.

Flowers were stamped with dark gray, brown, and dark wine inks.  Copic markers were used to color.

Hope you enjoyed looking at the cards as much as I enjoyed making them.  Next post will have more of them in different layouts.  See you then!!  Hope you have a lovely day.

Peony Floral Cards Part One

 Hello Everyone,

Really on a floral themed kick here.  I made lots of floral cards with some new products.  Once I get started stamping, I just can't stop.  Hence, lots and lots of cards for the send box.

Stamp and die set: Prized Peony from Stampin' Up

The first two cards have a grayish color scheme and were used to make sympathy cards.

I colored the flowers with copic markers and layered onto a two-color die cut.  Flowers stamped with gray ink.

The cards below: Flowers stamped with a dark wine ink and colored with copic markers. Backgrounds and card bases are pinks and peaches.

So glad you stopped by today to check out the cards.  I will be back next time with part two of the peony cards.  Hope you find a little time today to get crafty!  So therapeutic in these crazy times. Keep smiling!
