Stampsmith With Even More Birthday Cards

Hi Everyone,
Today, I have a few more  Stampsmith Cards that are bright and cheerful. I have made all of the cards with Birthday sentiments on the inside or outside.  This set of cards uses two different  images. The images can both  be found on the "Those Were The Days" full sheet. I was experimenting by stamping the photo stamp on all different types of paper. This is my fourth article on stamping on other types of paper with the photo stamps   The other articles can be seen here,  here and here.
On the first card, I stamped on some fun scrapbook paper I had in my stash. I think it is kind of cute. I cut around the paper to included the flower. I used a bright pink CS for the card base. Makes a nice, cheery birthday card.

For the second card, the image is stamped on glossy white CS. I punched a frame and added lots of aqua colored DP. Three pearls were used for accents. This card has a white base.For the third card I used a matte white CS.  So, you can see that the photo stamps have lots of "scope".

Where oh Where have my Followers Gone?

There are gone again.  My Followers, I mean.  I sent in a message to Goggle.  Haven't heard back yet for this current disappearance of my Followers.  Any one else have any ideas?  Leave a comment if you do.  I have loaded a new browser and that worked for one day.

Blockhead's New Release

Hi Everyone,
So glad I worked out all my Blogger problems which were taking up all my time.  Now I just have to figure out what is going on with my camera.  LOL.  And now, as I promised, I have the first of a series of posts featuring the New Releases from Blockheads Paper Arts.  Today's project uses the new release called Vintage Light and Form.  This set is available in a half sheet and each stamp can also be purchased as an individual stamp.  

As you can see, I used the Dress Form image for my card.  I stamped the image in Tuxedo Black dye ink (Memento) on pink Tissue paper.  I stamped several images and them tore the tissue paper to the desired size.  I crumpled the paper and then smoothed it out.  This also called the Faux Silk Technique.  If you would like to check out my tutorial on this technique click here.

 The tissue paper was glued to a white CS base.  I added some pink pearls for accents.  Here are a few more views for you.

For the inside of the card, I stamped one Dress Form on Pink CS after stamping off once to soften the image.  I used a sentiment from the Verses-Special Delivery Stamps set to complete the inside.

 This would be a great girlfriend card.  You could change out the sentiment for a birthday, hello, or just about anything.  Hope you enjoyed checking out this new release.  I will be back with more Blockheads New Releases over the next few days.    Here is a sneaky peek of my next post.

I have my Followers Back!

Hello All,
I want to say Hello and thank you to all my new Followers.  And, all my Followers really.  I have not been able to view my Followers for over a week now.   I had to download Goggle Chrome  and use that as my browser in order to see them.  Not really liking the Chrome though.  I suppose I will get used to it.  Right now there is no toolbar and it is hard to move around in.  So, new Followers, I was not neglecting you, I just could not see you!
I thought this would be a good day to post some photos of my garden.  So, here we go.

Stampsmith Cards for my Friends

Hi Everyone,
I have two cards to show you today that I made using Stampsmith stamps. I will send these out for birthdays. The first card uses the Eiffel Tower image from the Paris Full Sheet available in the Stampsmith Shop. The palette today is subtle and almost neutral.

The image was stamped on a glossy gold paper with black dye ink. I layered it with brown papers and made the card base from pink CS. Accents are a sheer pink ribbon and some crystal gems.

This image is from the "Those Were the Days" Full Sheet. And, it would be great for a friendship card too. I stamped the image on a glossy brown paper. Both these cards are more examples of stamping the photo stamps on papers other than the white glossy. I love how the white glossy looks, of course, but when I made the cards, I was nearly out of the white glossy....so had to change it up a bit. I have been posting a series of cards with photo stamps using different papers. You can see some of the other cards here and here. I found this a very fun exercise. So, back to today's card. The DP is from DCWV and the glossy papers are from Hot Off the Press. I added some metal disks for accents.

I decided to show you a third card. On this card, I stamped the image on smooth yellow paper. I really like how this turned out too. This image is called "Bling" and is available as a single image.

I used more green papers to layer: Hot Off the Press, DCWV, and Penny Black. I did some piercing and added two brads. I just love yellow and green together. What are some of your favorite color combos?

Stampsmith Challenge Time
