Masculine Birthday Cards

Hi Dreamers!
Another hot, hot day in good old Michigan.  No worries.  I am staying cool inside and making lots of cards.  Do masculine cards give you trouble??  Well, not today!  I am here to help you.    I made a bunch of masculine birthday cards for my brother's box of cards.   I will be sharing them all with you over the next week or so,  Here is today's card.

This sweet dear is from Blue Ridge Impressions and is colored with Copic Markers.  

I used  burlap scraps and twine to add some texture.   On the inside, I kept it simple and left room to write a note.    This sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

Bird Cages with Petal Background

Hi Dreamers,
Hope your weekend is going great!  Having a great time here making lots of projects and playing with my new Distress Markers from Blockheads Paper Arts.    For today's card, I used some stamps from Impression Obsession:  Birds in Cages  (H10018) , Petals Cover-a-Card (CC022C-A-C), Sentiment from Life is Tweet (CL256).

I started with white CS and stamped the Petal Cover-a-Card with Blue Violet Archival ink (Ranger) ---Stamp off once!!   I liked the softer shade I got on the second generation stamping.   I used a heat gun to dry the ink.  Then I stamped the birds in cages with Cobalt Archival ink.  Dry before coloring.  The image is colored with Distress Markers.  The stamped piece is layered onto a card base made from Pacific Point CS (Stampin' Up).

Over the Moon with The Stampsmith Photo Stamps

Hi Dreamers!
I have been busily working away on some submission projects.  I did take some time to make a few samples for Estelle of The Stampsmith to take to the Stampaway USA Show in August.  Stop in and say Hi to Estelle.  I thought I would share one of the samples I made.  I used the single photo stamp "Over The Moon".    

I thought that the man's costume seemed like something from a circus.  So, what would be better than harlequin DP for the background?!  This DP is from DCWV and I layered it on a card base made from Cherry Cobbler CS from Stampin' Up.  The image is stamped on glossy white CS with black dye ink.

I added a punched strip (Martha Stewart), purple rhinestones,  and two different ribbons for embellishments. Don't you think this is a really fun image!!??

Fabric Stamping Technique Challenge- Part Two

Hi Dreamers,
The Blockheads Technique Challenge is still open and will end on the 21st.  I have more fabric stamping to share with you today.  I not only stamped on the fabric but I pieced the images with fabric.  Just like paper piecing , but with fabric.  I used two Penny Black stamps.   Here is the first card.

Material List:

Stamp: Tete-a-Tete Penny Black  and Tres Chic Penny Black  from Blockheads Paper Arts

Black Versa Color Ink

Bleached and Unbleached  Muslin 100% cotton fabric

Print Calico Fabric

Markers

Lavender CS

Stamp the image on the bleached muslin and again on two different print fabrics.  Cut out the clothing from the print fabric.  Color the skin, animals, and table with markers.  Glue the cut out clothing  to the base stamped fabric piece.  And, that's it!! Wasn't that easy??!!  I mounted the fabric on a stiff piece of white CS and then glued that to the lavender card base.

I continued the fabric theme by making a fabric rosette and using some fabric strips as embellishments.  

Card Two is made in the same way with the same materials.  This stamp is called Tres Chic and is stamped on unbleached muslin.  

I added some paper flowers for embellishments.

Cupcake Monday

Hi Dreamers,
Well, I have all 15 birthday cards photographed.  Not all are edited though.  I have been down loading and editing photos all morning and have two cards ready to show you today.  I have used a super sweet stamp from Stampavie Stamps on both cards.

I stamped with Memento black ink and colored with Copic markers.  I used some Cosmo Cricket DP and Three colors of CS. 

On the inside  I stamped birthday sentiments from Stampin' Up.  

Card two is very pink and purple.  Stamped with the same ink and colored with Copics again.    

I used two different embossing folders on the CS in the background to add lots of texture.

Bird Note Card

Hi Dreamers!
Happy Sunday.  Beautiful day here in Michigan.  I have my cup of
coffee and I am already to go.  Just a ball of energy (caffeine).  LOL  Today's card is a sweet little tweet  using stamps from My Sentiments Exactly.  I used the Play Date Cafe Photo (right) for my color choice inspiration.

The stamping is done in  Pacific Point ink (Stampin' Up) on white CS.    I layered with some pretty blue/green papers from K & Company.

Isn't this bird just darling??!!  And, the set comes with a ton of the sentiments that fit right on top of the swirl. This card went in the all occasion order to my BF.

Pretty Little Angel

Hi  Dreamers!
Boy, have I been busy making birthday cards.  My brother ordered a year's worth of birthday cards.  Stayed tuned over the next few days/weeks for photos of all the birthday cards.  Today, I have a pretty angel card to share with you.  I used one of the Suzi Blue Stamps from Stampavie.

I stamped onto Decorative paper with a dark rust ink and stapled some pink tulle onto the card.

On the inside, there is a sentiment from My Favorite Things and a frame from My Sentiments Exactly.

Great quick card and yet so pretty.  This card went in the box of cards I made for my BF.  How is your weekend going??  I will be busy making cards tomorrow.   Busy, busy!  Have a great night.  Love ya.
