Pretty Sympathy Card

Hello Everyone!
One more week until the big move.  I am still packing like crazy.  I finished the basement today.  Tomorrow I will work on the attic.  Can't wait until we are in the new house and relaxing!  LOL  I have another sympathy card to share.  I also made this card for an order.

I used a soft blue green CS (one of my favorites-Sage Shadow a retired Stampin' Up color--still have a couple sheets of it).  And decorative paper in soft green.   The Butterfly stamp is from Stampin' Up.

I added a punched butterfly too and some gold bakers twine.

A nice sentiment on the inside.  Don't be intimidated by sympathy cards.  Any stamp will work.  I just like to keep the colors soft.

Well, I have to run.  Still lots to do tonight.   I hope you are having a great day!
Stay tuned this month for more of the 31 Days of Halloween sponsored by Lost Coast Designs!!

See you soon.  Love ya.

CS: White, orange, black textured, Chalkboard Black
Orange and black ribbons

 Instructions:

  • Make a banner from textured black CS and add a layer of orange CS
  • Cut three squares the same size-- two from white cs and one from Chalkboard black CS
  • Ink the center of the stamp with Mango Madness ink; and then ink the edges with Red Magic-now stamp on the squares--three times
  • Layer each square with it's opposite color -black/white;white/black

  • Glue two orange ribbon loops on the back of banner one slightly smaller
  • On the smaller loop, tie black ribbon

Love the way the chalk paint looks on this cool stamp!!  I will hang this up for Halloween.  It would also look really cut on the outside of a gift bag.  Or, I could add a white CS piece to the back and stamp or write a message and use as a Halloween card.  See  you next time for more scariness!!
